The fish and chips were proper—crispy batter that actually stayed crunchy, and the cod was fresh and flaky. I’ve had worse at places charging double. The chocolate cake surprised me too, not overly sweet and a decent size for the price. Only downside was the wait, took a good 15 minutes past when they said it’d be ready. Still, I’d go back for that fish.

Been here a few times now. Still like the homely vibe and the staff remember you. Decor's got those little details that make it feel personal.
