Review There are definitely Pros and Cons. Pros - location location location, very convenient, nearby tourist spots Jiefangbei, Hongyadong and shoppingmalls, great for shopping and cooling down in the hot summers. - Spacious rooms (family room) with eye for detail for the kid. A tent, slippers, kids toothbrush, etc. - Service, staff is very helpful, thinks with you. 前台小孫和客房蔣姐. - Free washing/cleaning service. In the morning you can bring the clothing (max 5 pieces) and in the evening you can pick it up. Cons - The building is old. It hosts about 10 different kinds of hotels. The Move is situated at the 20th floor. - The elevators are old, creaky. There are on a good day 3 elevators. On a bad day just 2 available. Waiting time can go up to 10 minutes. And the elevator will be very crowded. - everything is written in Chinese. You need to read and speak some Chinese. The staff is not use to English speaking tourists. - You will get a fine if you break or loose something. At least, a list of things and the price is shown in the room. For example a cup ¥30, the lights ¥300 or TV ¥3000. A tip: check if things work on the first day/hour. - There are in the night at the entrance floor lots of business cards for call girls. If you staying with kids, it’s actually not okay. - There is no privacy in the room, walking out of the shower, your partner (and kid) can see you naked. - There are lots of groups of light switches, in every corner. There is one master switch. If you use that one everything will be switched off, the lights including the airco. If you still want to have the airco working, you need to switch off all the different lights in every corner. Otherwise you might get sweaty in the middle of the night. - On the first day of our arrival, another guest complained that the photos on the website do not match with the room. I recommend that you look at the room first, in any case the reception is willing to help out (if rooms are available). - On the day of check out, the staff will ask/push you to give a (good) review. Be prepared.

This is located in a skyscraper occupying a few high floors together with a few other hotels. It offers a stunning view of either the city or river and buildings. They provide all the basic things in addition to 2 types of slippers, a projector with China channels. What I loved most is the control on both sides of the bed, including power driven curtains. There are also Pre set Mode (ambiance light, sleeping, bright, etc), very convenient. The basin and toilet/shower is separate, so it can be used simultaneously.

Good location with walking distance to Jie fang bei. Convenience store and eateries across the stress and train station 5 mins walk. Bed is also very comfortable, walls slightly thin. Bathroom is big and clean.

Looks luxurious however the room is not sound proof. We had trouble sleeping at night. Can hear people talking and TV on from the next room. The towels upon check in was NOT clean. It had poo stains. The jacuzzi bathtub in the room did not work… l After few complaints, the staff gave us free breakfast in last night and some biscuits… on the positive side this hotel is very convenient to Main Street where all the food and shopping is at.

Location is very good and convenient, near many eateries and tourist scenic area like 解放碑，etc.the room is the tradition type which I don't quite like it but they do have other room type. I hope not to get the same room again when I go back. There are many lifts but quite slow and old. The breakfast buffet spread is good and many varieties. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful especially 小刘， I have issue with my parcel and he offered to help me solve without any question. Very thankful to him and I hope Mercure will treasure him. Overall, happy with my stay.

We had a wonderful 3D/2N stay at the Roosevelt Service Apartment in Chongqing. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, especially Yang, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Yang’s hospitality was truly exceptional and set the tone for our stay. The apartment itself was well-maintained, clean, and equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The interiors were modern yet cozy, and the attention to detail in the design made it feel like a home away from home. The location was perfect for exploring Chongqing, with easy access to key attractions and transportation. Despite its central location, the apartment offered a quiet and peaceful retreat from the bustling city. Overall, the exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and prime location made our stay truly memorable. We highly recommend Roosevelt Service Apartment to anyone visiting Chongqing and extend our gratitude to Yang for making our experience even more special!

For overseas travellers, Fraser’s is no-doubt the best place to go to. Tourist friendly, value-for-money, and impeccable service. Location is also nearby a number of amenities and a pretty nice mall , with an amazing livehouse nearby. The service staff, Amy as well as others here that have served me have been amazing and were accommodating to my wants of replacing the ironing board as well as giving me fruits upon arrival, upgrading my room without me requesting, and even letting me check out late as my flight isn’t till the evening. Simply splendid and I would book this place again if I’m ever back in Chengdu. Attached hotel lobby pictures for reference, rooms look better than in photos. Won’t go wrong here. Food deliveries are done efficiently with a robot, and you can even add their WeChat to ask for any help with almost immediate response. Cleanliness is tip-top and overall just probably the best hotel I’ve stayed during my many trips to China Any

The hotel gave me very good impression and even beyond my expectations. The room was well designed and very clean. The location was superb. I can walk to many attractions such as Hong ya cave within 10 mins. The breakfast was not that many choices but all the food was tasty. Even on the day we had to leave early for a day trip to Wu long, the hotel staff prepared some bread, apples, snacks and drinks for us to bring along and sent the food to our room very early in the morning. That was very thoughtful. The staff are so helpful, they responded to all my questions so quickly, very impressive!

Good points: Excellent location. Extremely great value for money, especially for solo travellers. Good privacy and view. Room is large for 1 person hence it’s very worth booking for a solo traveller. Staff here are friendly and extremely helpful, thumbs up to them. Appreciate the good service. Interesting that the building itself is actually a high rise apartment building, with multiple different hotels , and other establishments such as massage spas and even restaurants renting out units within it. Negative feedback: Room is quite old and grubby. Hairs sticking out from hairdryer, mirror in the bathroom has frayed wood and window has large smudges with dirty glass. Had to change room from L13 to L26 because of water leakage down to L12. Had a room upgrade, however the new room on L26 had a faulty hot water heating system (had no issue with this on L13). The building is beautiful on the outside, but old infrastructure on the inside. Doesn’t make sense that the main elevator can only go up to L25, had to take the emergency exit elevator to L26. Overall, I’m still quite impressed with the hotel for good value for money (paid about 100 yuan a night for 5 nights). I would come back here again as a solo traveller. However, I would not come here with my family/ partner.

The hotel is so conveniently located at the heart of ChongQing City. Turn to your right after exiting from Exit 1 of Line 2 of LinJiangMen Station and you will see that tall big building. I arrived at ChongQing North Station and took Line 10 and transferred to Line 2 to get there, took me only about 25mins. The Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is nice, clean and comfortable with nice city view. Every where is almost within walking distance. The 8-1 food street is just nearby. So many calls around you for you to shop till you drop. Spent 2 nights there and totally love the place. Will highly recommend anyone who wish to explore ChongQing. Use their Metro and public buses, its fast, clean efficient and affordable.
