Special upgrades include: intangible cultural heritage hand-made bamboo-tube chicken and bamboo-tube rice, plus a taste of the ethnic minority's home-brewed sticky rice wine.
CCTV's "A Bite of China" has repeatedly explored the world-famous Longji scenery, visited the Huangluo Yao Long Hair Village, and spotlighted the unique Red Yao delicacies. "Jinkeng Dazhai · The Majestic Cloud Epic of Longji Rice Terraces" - Among all the Longji terrace groups, Jinkeng Dazhai is the largest, most visually impactful, and offers the most spectacular panoramic views.

An epic scroll that commands the mountains and rivers - with a total area of over 10 square kilometers, the terraces spiral from the foothills all the way up to the clouds. This is the "ultimate" of Longji Terraces - you won't truly understand the meaning of "awe-inspiring" until you come here.

Compared to the earlier-developed Ping'an Village, Jinkeng was developed later, with a lighter commercial feel and a more genuine local culture. If you seek that "endless as far as the eye can see" grandeur, Jinkeng Dazhai is the one and only choice.

Jinkeng Dazhai boasts three viewing platforms, each with its own unique charm - every one is worth a dedicated visit.

Xishan Shaoyue (Platform No. 1) · The Ultimate Overlook of Longji
When sunlight crosses the distant peaks and spills across the water-filled terraces, a myriad of golden rays flood the entire valley - a scene truly unforgettable.
As far as the eye can see, about 6,400 mu (approx. 422 hectares) of terraces unfold before you, with light and shadow shifting like a living painting.
Photo highlights: A gathering place for photography enthusiasts; you can also walk down into the terraces for close-up shots.

Qianceng Tianti (Platform No. 2) · Walking on the Fingerprints of the Earth
The terraces here have strong layered textures, allowing you to touch their contours up close - perfect for stunning photos!
Stacked layer upon layer from the foot to the summit, they resemble a "thousand-layer staircase" reaching straight into the sky - and the name fits perfectly. You can step right into the middle of the terraces for close-range photos, experiencing the wondrous sensation of being surrounded by a thousand layers of rice waves. Along the way, you pass through Red Yao villages, where you may encounter locals weaving cloth or sun-drying garments, offering a glimpse of authentic rural life.
Photo highlights: Smooth terrace lines with distinct layers; you can step into the fields for zero-distance contact with the terraces.

Jinfo Ding (Platform No. 3) · 360° Panoramic Overlook with Stunning Sunsets
Jinfo Ding is the most popular viewing platform online. Standing here, the entire terrace expanse seems to lie beneath your feet. At sunset, the whole landscape is bathed in warm golden hues, blending with distant mountains and drifting clouds into a dazzling picture scroll. From Jinfo Ding, you can also witness the rare "Phoenix Turning Its Head" phenomenon - where hundreds of ridges, each hundreds of meters long, converge to form a giant phoenix, vivid and lifelike.
Photo highlights: 360° unobstructed views of the terraces, distant peaks, and sea of clouds - a birthplace of masterpiece photos; the wide-open vantage point offers a commanding view of the entire terrace area.

A boon for the lazy: Jinkeng Dazhai has a cable car (at your own expense) that goes directly to the viewing platform! No pressure at all even with elderly or children. You can also choose to walk downhill (about 40 minutes) to appreciate the terrace textures up close, and discover some hidden photo angles along the way.
