Yeongwol, a delightful travel destination where nature and history live and breathe💚
#DomesticTravel
If you think I'm crazy about Yeongwol, that's right!
I don't even go to Gangwon-do often, but I'm completely captivated by Yeongwol.
For those of you who are planning to visit Yeongwol this week and next week for the Hongmemil Festival, I'll introduce you to the Yeongwol travel destinations I visited this time!
1️⃣2️⃣ Byeolchongchong Mural Village
This is a cute neighborhood with cute murals in a quiet village in Yeongwol.
Even if you don't bring a bouquet of flowers, this is a spot where you can take a million photos of your life.
3️⃣4️⃣ Yeongwol Donggang Hongmemil Festival
A special Hongmemil field in Yeongwol that you can't see anywhere else in the country!
When I visited, it was the beginning of the festival, so it was just starting to bloom, but I think it will be in full bloom next week!
5️⃣6️⃣Yeongwol Station
Yeongwol Station is a railway cultural asset that has preserved its place along with Yeongwol's history.
You can feel the excitement of the trip even more because you get off the train, cross the railroad tracks, and enter the station!
7️⃣Yeongmojeon
I think many people are hearing about this place for the first time.
It is a place where people come to pay their respects because King Danjong's portrait and memorial tablet are enshrined, and the surrounding scenery is so beautiful that it is a great place to visit for a trip!
They say that the surrounding area is beautifully colored with cherry blossoms in the spring.
8️⃣9️⃣Cheongnyeongpo
This is a famous tourist attraction that is widely known as the place of Danjong's exile!
Most people think that he was exiled to Cheongnyeongpo and passed away there, but he actually did not stay in Cheongnyeongpo for long and moved to Gwanpungheon, which I introduced earlier, and passed away there.
You can take a boat ride to this place and take a walk through the forest where King Danjong stayed and spent his time.
🔟~ Yeongwol Travel Lounge
A rest area for travelers right in front of Yeongwol Station.
It provides bottled water, free Wi-Fi, charging, heating and cooling, and Yeongwol travel information, so it's a good place to stay, and there's a really fun exhibition going on right now.
The space that was previously used as Yeongwol Travel Lounge is now a set for a drama shoot, so when there's no filming, take a quick look around from outside☺️
(The Travel Lounge has now moved to the space next to the set!)
