This time, I'm taking the road less traveled with a 3-day slow-paced itinerary covering Kedu Ancient Town, the Beipanjiang Bridge, and Dongshan Mountain. It's incredibly uncrowded and offers a top-tier experience. 🏛️ Stop 1: Kedu Ancient Town It's just a 40-minute drive from downtown Xuanwei, and this place is seriously underrated. It was an important pass on the Southern Silk Road, and the name Kedu originated from Zhuge Liang's southern expedition. Two thousand years of history are carved into the bluestone slabs. The ancient town is free to enter, with the Kedu Pass site and the ancient post road as the highlights. The bluestone surface of the Five-Foot Road is deeply grooved by horse hooves; step on it, and you can almost hear the bells of the ancient caravans from a millennium ago.
