Harz National Park is located in northern Germany and is one of the oldest national parks in the country.
Brocken, the highest peak in northern Germany, is also one of the most historically significant mountains in Europe. It is not only a paradise for hikers but also an important origin of the Harz witch legends.
The Harzer Hexenstieg (Harz Witches' Trail) is one of Germany's most famous and enchanting long-distance hiking routes, stretching across the Harz Mountains for about 100 kilometers (usually divided into a 5-day itinerary), connecting Osterode and Thale. This trail is renowned for its mysterious witch legends (originating from the Brocken's Walpurgis Night), diverse coniferous forests, high moorlands, and the steep Bodetal Gorge scenery, making it a top choice for outdoor enthusiasts.
The Harz region has a deep connection with witch legends. Every year on April 30th, the Harz Mountain Witches Festival is held locally, turning the entire area into a witches' paradise with events including witch parades, witch markets, and witch dances. If you plan to visit the Harz Mountains in spring, don’t miss this unique festival!

Rosstrappe with its legendary rocks
#AutumnHo-Kang-Soo-Event Rosstrappe is a legendary rock located in the Harz Mountains of Germany. It is said that Princess Brunhilde jumped over the cliff on horseback while being chased by the villain Bodo. At that time, the horse's hoof marks were left on the rock, and you can still see them today. This place is recommended not only for its legendary story, but also for its beautiful natural scenery of the Bode Valley.

Stream in Thale, Germany
This stream flows through the suburban area of Thale in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The great writer Goethe visited here several times during his lifetime. There is also a purely local folk nude hot spring nearby, where men and women bathe together. I don't have the courage to get naked, so I have never seen such a scene.
This set of pictures was taken at two different times, and I prefer the effect on a cloudy day. #GermanyTravel #stream #creek #Goethe #deutschland #thale #goodplacesinHongKong #tree #SaxonyAnhalt
