  • Teamlab: a forest where gods live

    If you've been to a teamlab exhibit, you know what to expect. What makes this one special is the location. The park is beautiful with different venues spread everywhere. Some pieces resemble others featured in different locations, e.g. the pound where the carps projections are feels like the one in teamlab Planets in Tsukiji, Tokyo. That said, the location itself gives a different vibe to the pieces. Wear comfortable shoes and be careful when walking around as the place can be quite dark in some places. There are 2 gates and one opens 1 hour later, at 20:00. I would suggest entering earlier so you don't have to rush to see everything.

    teamLab : A Forest Where Gods Live หากจะพูดถึงงาน Digital Art ชื่อแรกที่หลายคนนึกถึงคงไม่พ้น “teamLab” กลุ่มคนรักศิลปะที่รวมตัวผู้คนจากหลากหลายสาขาอาชีพ มาร่วมกันสร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะในรูปแบบใหม่ และจัดแสดงผลงานในหลายประเทศทั่วโลก และคราวนี้เราจะพาเพื่อนๆ ไปชม 1 ในนิทรรศการของ teamLab ที่ต้องบอกว่าเขาเล่นใหญ่มากจริงๆ เพราะงานนี้จัดที่ Mifuneyama Rakuen Park สวนที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นตั้งแต่ปี 1845 ในจังหวัด Saga และมีพื้นที่กว้างถึง 500,000 ตารางเมตร โดย artwotk ทั้งหมด จะกระจายไปตามจุดต่างๆ ทั้งในสวน และภายในโรงแรม Mifuneyama Rakuen ซึ่งอยู่ในบริเวณเดียวกัน โดยรีวิวนี้เราจะพาไปชม artwork ที่ไม่ควรพลาดของงานนี้ และ จุดถ่ายรูปต่างๆ เผื่อใครมีแพลนจะเดินทางมาชมงาน จะได้มีข้อมูลเบื้องต้นเพื่อเตรียมตัวกันครับ พื้นที่จัดงานหลักๆ แบ่งเป็นสองส่วน คือ ภายในโรงแรม Mifuneyama Rakuen เป็นบริเวณที่สามารถเข้าชมได้ตั้งแต่ช่วงกลางวัน ภายในมีร้านชาให้บริการ เปิดตั้งแต่ 11.00 น. (แนะนำว่าถ้าไม่ได้มาพักโรงแรมก็ควรไปอุดหนุนร้านชานะครับ เพราะข้างในถ่ายรูปสวยมาก) อีกส่วนคือภายในสวนซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่กลางแจ้ง จะเปิดไฟในช่วงเย็น (ตามเวลาที่แจ้งไว้ด้านล่าง) แนะนำว่าหากใครแพลนมาชมงาน มาถึงสักช่วงบ่ายๆ เป็นต้นไปก็น่าจะพอดีกับช่วงที่เปิดไฟ สำหรับรายละเอียดของ artwork จุดต่างๆ เข้าไปอ่านรายละเอียดได้ภายในรีวิวนี้ครับ การเดินทางมาชมงาน ตั้งต้นจากสถานี Hakata สามารถนั่งรถไฟสาย Relay Kamome หรือ Kasasaki (สายเดียวกับที่ไป Huis Ten Bosch) ใช้เวลาประมาณ 45 – 60 นาที มาลงที่สถานี Takeo-Onsen แนะนำให้ต่อ Taxi มาลงที่โรงแรม Mifuneyama Rakuen (ใช้เวลาประมาณ 5-10 นาที ค่ารถประมาณ 1,000-1,200 เยน) หากใครอยากประหยัดก็สามารถนั่งรถบัสมาได้ หรือถ้าเช่ารถขับมา บริเวณหน้างานก็มีลานจอดรถให้บริการเช่นกัน (แถวโรงแรมไม่ค่อยมีร้านอาหาร นอกจากร้านในโรงแรม มีแต่ร้านขายขนมและของฝากทั่วไปตรงบริเวณทางเข้างาน หากใครต้องการเรียก Taxi ให้ทางร้านโทรเรียกได้ แต่ช่วยอุดหนุนของกินเล็กๆ น้อยๆ ภายในร้านกันด้วยนะครับ) ค่าเข้าชมงาน 1200 เยน #เตรียมเที่ยวฮ่องกง

    The Mifuneyama Rakuen, loved by both adults and children, is a famous attraction located in Takeo, Kyushu, known for its ship-shaped mountain top and sea of flowers. Cherry blossoms, azaleas, wisteria, autumn leaves... they bloom in succession, making every season beautiful! Especially in May, during the azalea season, the entire mountain top is covered with a colorful sea of flowers, which is quite magnificent and vibrant, making it the best season to visit Mifuneyama. The scenery is vastly different between day and night, and to fully appreciate the beauty of Mifuneyama, it is highly recommended to stay at the park hotel for a night! Mifuneyama Hotel has collaborated with teamLab, integrating the colorful interactive light installation art ingeniously into every corner of the hotel. As soon as you enter the lobby, you are greeted by lanterns twinkling in the darkness, sometimes pink, sometimes deep blue, making it hard to find the reception desk while you're too busy taking beautiful photos XD The hotel offers two different styles of rooms. One is the authentic Japanese tatami room with a garden, the 'Old Pine' room type, which is spacious enough to sleep 10 people, with its own corridor and garden, outdoor hot spring, and Japanese-style bedding. You can even choose to have dinner in the room, so comfortable that you don't want to move. The other area has modern Western-style rooms, but with a very strong design sense, offering a contrasting and fresh style that young people like. Although the Old Pine room has its own outdoor hot spring, it is still highly recommended to visit the public bath, where the men's and women's baths are swapped daily. The public bath also has an outdoor area, and the most special part is the rest area, which is an industrial-style glass building. On the second floor, there is a fireplace for roasting marshmallows, and lounge chairs for enjoying the view outside the floor-to-ceiling windows. A cherry tree is planted right beside it, and watching the pink petals fall into the hot spring pool is incredibly beautiful and atmospheric! The meals are also impressive. Breakfast is served in the public dining area of the hot spring hotel, and it's extravagant, covering the entire table with a lavish spread! It's highly recommended to visit Takeo, not just for a quick look, but to stay a night at Mifuneyama Rakuen, enjoy the flowers, soak in the hot springs, see the teamLab exhibition, and after checking out, visit Takeo Shrine and the library. Along the way, you'll also be surrounded by a sea of flowers, a truly breathtaking sight.

    #cherryblossom2024 Flowers and space Mifuneyama Raku is full of flowers. It is located at the foot of Mount Mifune in Takeo City and covers 500,000 square meters. The garden was created as a resting place for the feudal ruler of these places. To get into the spirit of Japan, visit the local tea house and admire the statues of five hundred disciples of the Buddha. How to get there From Takeo-Onsen Station, the garden can be reached in five minutes by taxi or a 25-minute walk. Sakura and more In spring, many people come to Mifuneyama Raku to admire the blooming sakura, plum and azaleas. In summer, lanterns are hung here, which turn the natural colors of the garden into a fabulous landscape.

  • Enjoy with colourful hot springs 🌸

    #2023travelwish I had the experience of travelling to Beppu. Beppu is famous for its onsen (hot springs). Rather than bathing, there are hot springs for viewing also. And each one is formed different way and has different properties. There are 7 hot springs known as ‘Hells of beppu’. If you have time, it is recommended to visit each of them. There are also foot baths for the feet in these places. It is a great way to relax and it is recommended to take towels for your feet with you. At the same time , some places give towels to visitors. Note: You don’t have to visit all of them. However, you have to pay the entrance fee for each of them. If you buy a packet , you can pay 2000 yen (15$) one time and can visit 7 hot springs. You can take the ticket from ticketing place at the entrance of any hot spring place. As you can see with photos, this view is amazing and it deserves to be visited.

  • Colourful Hot Springs in Beppu

    In the city of Beppu of Oita Prefecture, Kyushu, there are steaming hot springs which they call hells for viewing that are popular with tourists. Their unique appearances make the hot springs spectacular. Beppu is the second largest producer of geothermal water in the world. The different types of hell are derived from the different types of water. Umi Jigoku, or Sea Hell in Japanese, is named for its vibrant cobalt blue waters surrounded by a small Japanese garden. The blue colour is the result of sunlight hitting the water surface. The water is so hot that clouds of steam constantly obscure its surface. Another hot spring that is interesting is the Chinoike Jigoku or Blood Pond Hell, named after the vibrant red colour of the steaming hot pond due to the iron in the water. There is also a free foot bath for visitors who are tired from all the walking which comes from natural hot spring waters. This foot bath is truly a lifesaver to sit down and relax. In addition, they also sell food items boiled using the spring waters such as eggs. #fallingforfall #tripblazers

  • Japan's TOP hot spring town, traditional Japanese accommodation experience!

    Oita Prefecture's Beppu was the last stop on our Kyushu trip. Despite the rain, we enjoyed a rare immersive traditional hot spring journey during our brief overnight stay at this hotel. 👉🏻Hoshino Resorts KAI Beppu ⭕Oita Prefecture is truly Japan's number one hot spring prefecture, leading by a large margin in the number of hot springs. Beppu is a representative of this, where the entire city is shrouded in the magical sight of steaming hot spring mists, and it's said that you haven't really been to Beppu if you haven't experienced the hot springs. ⭕The hotel is designed in a traditional Japanese style, extensively using wood and bamboo decorations, full of traditional feel. The public area is restored to the appearance of past hot spring streets. At night, when the lights are on, playing traditional games, if you get hungry, you can cook a bowl of hellishly spicy ramen, taste hot spring eggs, Usuki pancakes, giving a sense of time travel back to the past. ⭕What is astonishing is that each of the 70 rooms in the hotel is a sea-view room!
