I love it when cafes or eateris are hidden in secluded or mysterious places and when I heard there's a hidden burger bar at an industrial park, I know I had to try it for sure. Burger Labo is an unpretentious burger place that serves the most delicious burgers but it's location be somewhat mysterious as it is hidden in the middle of nowhere at an industrial park.
Once at burger labo, you see posters of their featured burgers and it just whets your appetite seeing how the chefs prepare your burgers behind the glass windows. Ordering is made easy at their self ordering kiosks. I ordered their double Patty 2280 and it's just amazing. It was stuffed with caramelized onions, double cheese, a special sauce and a soft potato bun. Their fries and onion rings are not to be missed as they were super crispy and fresh. Have your burgers at burger labo and you would agree it's the best!
Chill Out at September Coffee at Chinatown
#hiddengems
Entering the cafe with excitement, I'm drawn to its modern charm and a touch of zen. I truly adore the atmosphere and the vibe in this place.
The generous portions of food and stunning aesthetically decorated drinks attracted me, while appreciating the freshness of the dishes served.
The only drawback is the slow and inattentive service.
If you're seeking a relaxed spot with a comfortable ambiance, this place is worth considering.

Fun Halloween Lunch at Ma Maison
Halloween is a time when spookiness and fun come together, and Ma Maison Restaurant proved to be the perfect setting for a delightful Halloween-themed lunch experience. As I entered the restaurant, I was immediately struck by its vintage charm. Dark wood paneling, dimly lit chandeliers, and antique décor transported me back in time. The entire restaurant had been decked out in Halloween decor. Cobwebs, pumpkins, and ghostly decorations adorned the elegant space, seamlessly blending with the restaurant's classic aesthetic. The menu offered a delightful array of Japanese French fusion classics, and I decided to order the Mentaiko Spaghetti. My food arrived promptly, and I savored the rich flavors and exquisite presentation. Delicious Greendot Vegetarian Dishes

Whenever I'm at Westgate, this is my preferred vegetarian dining spot. Even though seats are limited, the service was quite efficient. Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly waiter who promptly seated us. Ordering through a QR code was effortless. I received my meal within 15 minutes, and the food exceeded my expectations. Moreover, the price is really reasonable. I opted for the vegan Sweet and Sour Soya Nugget Bento, which turned out to be incredibly delicious, remarkably similar in taste to the non-vegan version. Authentic Thai diner and grocer
✔️ Royal Thai Boat Noodles & Bar
📍 9 King Albert Park, #01-01/02, Singapore 598332
Opening back in 2006, this humble restaurant has now grown to have three outlets throughout Singapore. They are very committed to serving authentic Thai cuisine, with Thai chefs cooking and running the kitchen! Some of their signature dishes include handmade Thai fish cake, mama drunken noodles and green curry.
They also run a mini-mart next door selling products imported from Thailand. It was quite a treat as we could find items that aren’t in our usual supermarkets or grocery stores. Prices were reasonable as well.
Branch opening hours:
- Monday to Friday: 11.30am to 10pm (closed 3pm to 5pm)
- Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 11.30am to 10pm

✔️Josh’s Grill Restaurant
📍 200 Victoria Street, Bugis Junction Shopping Mall, #01-69, Singapore 188021
Josh’s Grill has many outlets all over Singapore and they specialize in classic western favourites, such as grilled meats, pasta and fish! The atmosphere here at the Bugis Junction outlet is very casual and welcoming, with faux greenery throughout the interiors.
We ordered the spicy sausage pasta and vongole pasta, both of which were flavourful and delicious! The spicy sausage was extremely spicy though so only order it if you can take spice.
What I was most impressed with was the proactiveness of the staff. When one of them saw me carrying a lot of things, she immediately brought a basket for me to place them in. Another also came to our table to ask how everything was. Excellent service!

The White Tiffin
#wheretogo
The White Tiffin serves Peranakan and local food.
The presentation of their XXL Nasi Lemak was inspired by Indonesian tumpeng – a cone-shaped serving of rice accompanied by assorted side dishes. The platter was impressive. The dish includes coconut rice, lobster gratin, salted egg fish skin, battered fish fillet, hard-boiled egg, ikan bilis, peanuts, papadum, achar and sambal chilli.
The Local Trio set comprises mini nasi lemak, mini mee siam and mini laksa. This is good for those who are fickle and want a taste of the popular orders here. The dish was served in a white tingkat, similar to how one would dapao food in the past.

This ramen place offers great value for money, the Toroniku Shoyu Ramen complemented with a side of karaage. The portion size was sufficiently satisfying. The karaage chicken was coated in a crispy, golden shell that concealed the tender, juicy meat within. The ramen broth, a vital component of any good ramen, was rich and flavorful. Lastly, the cleanliness of the establishment was noteworthy. A clean and hygienic environment is a crucial aspect of the dining experience, and it's reassuring to know that this restaurant takes this aspect seriously.

Capitol - Hopscotch Bar
#wheretogo
Visited Hopscotch on a Sunday evening for dinner. Like the whole ambience of the place. It gives off an old world charm reminiscent of Colonial era streets. For food, we ordered a Guinness Beef Bourguignon and a Salmon mashed.
The beef cheeks were tender and flavourful as it was slow simmered in a rich blend of Guinness stout, red wine, rich veal jus, carrots and a slew of mixed herbs and spices. I could definitely taste the sweetness and richness of the vegetables. Garlic confit mashed potatoes as the side was so creamy and smooth which gave a good balance to the beef cheeks. The salmon mashed was nicely done and not fishy at all.
