City walk south beach
#citywalk
Address - 9 Raffles Boulevard, #01-26/28/K17 Millenia Walk, 039596
Highlight - city walk during formula one period, shopping and dining
My husband and I spent our weekend at the formula one nearby. We went to the South beach area to take some pictures. We later went to the Coffee Academics @ Millenia Walk to have our light snacks. We had a cup of coffee, and have some pastries to start our afternoon walk there. The food was nice and the ambiance was very good. It was a very relaxing environment to be in, listening to the music and chatting with my husband there. It was quality time spent together during our city walk at the South beach Formula one season. We will come back again in the future.
Homely thai food in the East
Address: Baan Kanom Thai, ARC380, 380 Jln Besar, #01-15, 209000
Price: 💰💰
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
My colleagues wanted try out this new Thai place around our office area. Baan Kanom Thai used to be at Golden Mile Complex.
The place was homely looking, and not too crowded during lunch hour. The price was definitely on the steeper side considering the location.
Here's what we ordered and the ratings:
1. Pad Thai - 10/10 portion was generous and the flavours and texture was well balanced.
2. Basil Oyster - 7/10 uniqued dish for people with an acquired taste.
3. Basil chicken - 10/10 it was spicy and well seasoned
4. Pad see ew - 6/10 Lacking the wok hey taste but the noodles were bouncy and peppery. Not the best Pad see ew I've tasted.
5. Pineapple fried rice - 8/10 Generous floss and portion, tasted great but not the best!
6. Tom yum soup - 6/10 it was more acidic which was not enjoyable. The ingredients were generous but doesn't taste healthy.
7. Prawn omelette - 10/10 crispy and generous portions!
8. Prawn cake with tamarind sauce - 8/10 nothing special but it definitely was a great addition to the meal!
The staffs were all nice and friendly, and the service was pretty fast! If you're craving for thai food in the area you should give this place a try!

Bakery Cakes Buns
#citywalk
Address - 133 New Bridge Rd, #01-27/28 Chinatown Point, Singapore 059413
Highlights - Traditional mooncakes, bakery, cakes
During the evening my husband brought me to the Chinatown point. It was the right time as we can do last minute shopping for mooncakes. I love the traditional mooncake in yam and durian flavour by breadtalk. The store at the Chinatown point is big. One side is catered to bread and cakes, while the other side is catered to mooncakes. A new product that caught our eyes. Our favorite momoji comes in two different flavours. Both are our favorites too. The black sesame and the peanut butter taste. We bought each to try out and we love the taste. We do love some of their freshly baked buns too.
Tangs Departmental
#singapore
Address - TANGS at VivoCity. 1 HARBOURFRONT WALK #01-187 & #02-189. SINGAPORE 098585
Highlights - Departmental store
On the weekends my husband and I went to the vivo city to have our weekend outing. As usual, my favorite is to rush to the departmental store to check out their latest product at the cosmetic section. While trying out those cosmetics, my husband went to shop for his apparel and bags. I took some time there as the people need to advise me on which skincare products suit my skin tone. After that I went to the ladies apparel section to check out those new items on sale. I spent some time again while trying them on. After a few hours of walking in the Tangs departmental store, we went to the tiong bahru bakery to have our light snacks. I ordered the roast beef crossiant while my husband ordered the pulled pork bun. We shared the food among each other to try each other's food. The vivocity mall is a mall to spend quality time with your family.
Underwater themed restaurant in the West
Address: The Mermaid, 27 W Coast Hwy, #01-14, Singapore 117867
Price: 💰💰💰
Rating: ⭐️⭐️
My date surprised me with a dinner at a Mermaid themed restaurant. He was really excited because he saw the reviews on Google.
This restaurant was fairly new, we could see the owners walking around managing the staffs. First impression was that the restaurant looked like a underwater themed pub - furnitures and chinas were cheap looking and had opportunities to upgrade to match it's theme better.
We were not too hungry so we decided to share an appetiser, main, and dessert. We ordered a:-
1. grilled squid - it never came despite reminding the wait staffs.
2. Steak with fries - 5/10 the steak was tough and under seasoned. For it's price we had expected a little more. Considering Astons steak was nicer and more tender. The fries were edible but not well seasoned as well.
3. Cinnamon donuts - 2/10 it was dry, crumbly and tasteless.
4. Orange juice - 10/10 the juice was good and refreshing luckily.
5. Mermaid signature cocktail - 0/10 it was undrinkable. As you can see the dissatisfaction on my date's face. He ended up ordering a glass of wine.
We also had to ask for water instead of being served upon sitting.
We're not too sure if the food standards were bad because this place was new, or it's just that particular day.
The performance from the mermaid were nice, it would have been better if we gotten a seat in the front, but from our angle it was 6/10.
I believe this is a family friendly restaurant, and hence the kids around us were enjoy the show a lot more!
The best thing from this place was definitely the live band. Although the singer only knew mandarin songs, his voice was really good.
They have different artist and performances scheduled on different days - I recommend this place as a drinking place for people in the west who would love to chill with your friends over some good music.

Killiney Cafe for affordable local food.
#sgfoodies
Killiney Cafe is actually quite a good place to go to for affordable local food.
They have pretty affordable and delicious set lunches daily!
The menu consists of local favourites like mee goreng, laksa, nasi lemak, horfun, etc.
For local breakfast, they have the signature Kaya Butter Toast Set which includes tea/coffee, 2 soft boiled eggs & toasted kaya butter bread.
I had the Seafood Mui Fan and the portion was quite large. It is a nice comfort food for lunch.

Birthday brunch at a french restuarant 🇫🇷
#singapore 🏡 Address: Chez Suzette — 5 Teck Lim Rd, #01 -01, Singapore 088383
💌 Rating: 4/5 — Aesthetic seatings 💐
It's my birthday month & I'll be sharing lots of birthday things you can do, places to visit and gifts ideas that you can save for your birthday or when you're planning for a friend/love one! 🫶🏻
If you're looking for a place to have your birthday brunch you can consider visiting Chez Suzette on Teck Lim Rd, just the street beside keong siak rd.
Here's what we ordered:
01 Burrata Salad — You can never go wrong with burrata, the salad comes with a balsamic glaze which is the cherry on top 😍
02 Steak Frittes — Im honestly shock at how well the steak was done, it was seasoned properly. As requested for it to be medium rare they nailed it 🤭 This was probably one of my top 5 places that does steak well + for the price?! It's so worth it.
03 Oven Baked Seabass — As someone who's not a big fan of fish, this was not it for me. However my friends did say it's pretty yummy.
04 Mixed Seafood Ravioli — Similarly to the seabass this ravioli was super fishy. I was not a big fan of it, but the filling was generous and the sauce was delicious! 😆
Since it was my birthday I got a complimentary mixed berries crepe which was SO YUMMY. This is the cutest place to celebrate your birthday. I love the seatings, so aesthetic and great for photos.
Be sure to book in advance! I saw photos of the indoor second floor & It's not the cutest so I would recommend sticking to the outdoor and the first floor indoor seatings! ☺️
We paid about $350 SGD for the food + 2 bottles of white wine & about 4 pint of beers!
Fun modern tze char at Stevens
Address: Enjoy Eating House and Bar, 30 Stevens Rd, #01-07, Singapore 257840
Price: 💰💰💰
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The other day my date asked me to pick a place for dinner. I've always wanted to visit this place based on the good reviews.
The interior was bold, bright and colourful, we were greeted by a staff who showed us to our seats.
We got a booth seats, which was pretty odd considering we had to sit side by side instead of facing each other.
We ordered:
1. Chili prawns with a side of mantou - 10/10 the portions were generous and the gravy was will balanced - sweet, umami and spicy! The mantou was fried to perfection- crispy crust and a soft fluffy inside.
2. Prawn omelette- 0/10 considering the price, this dish was not executed properly. I think they dropped the eggs too early, which is why the eggs did not had the iconic golden colors we are familiar with.
3. Mee Kia - 10/10 amazing! the noodles were bouncy and the flavours and textures in the dish was well balanced! I highly recommend.
4. Chandol - 6/10 only the coconut panna cotta was nice. The green jelly was bland and had a weird texture.
5. Lemon grass tea - 10/10 tasted homemade and definitely on the less sweet side.
6. Milk tea - 10/10 thick and creamy! Definitely something that will keep you up all night.
Overall it's a chill place to have dinner with your family and friends. The dishes were either a hit or miss - do give the ones I rated 10/10 a try if you are around the area!
The prices are a little steep but the portions are generous.

Cosy dessert place to bring your date
Address: Sunday Folks Holland Village, 44 Jln Merah Saga, #01-52 Chip Bee Gardens, Singapore 278116
Price: 💰💰
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
After dinner, my date wanted to grab some dessert. He brought me to this cosy ice cream place at the back of Holland Village!
I frequently visit Holland Village for dinner but I never knew this street of food places existed!
Just across the road from the MRT station, behind Raffles Holland V, sits a couple food places with pretty high ratings on Google! Among one of them is Sunday Folks.
The interior was stunning! It looks like a cosy book cafe, I think a fake fireplace would definitely add to the vibe.
I heard about this place often, but I necer had the chance to try it. The had 4 ice cream flavours - Ferrero Rocky Road, Earl Gray Lavender, Raspberry rose and lychee, Caramel.
I went with a vanilla base as it's my favourite - Caramel ice cream with waffles.
After that, you'll get to choose 3 toppings for your ice cream, and we picked Milk mochi, toasted almonds thin and lotus biscuits.
Here is my review:
1. Caramel icecream - 10/10 creamy and not too sweet! If you're someone who likes their dessert basic, definitely recommend this flavour! If you're adventurous like my date, you can try one of the other 3 flavours.
2. Milk mochi - 7/10 i was curious as to what it would taste like, but it's just condense milk with powdered sugar! I would skip it as it doesn't add texture to the dessert.
3. Lotus biscuits- 10/10 perfect combination with the caramel flavour! It adds a little crunch to the dessert.
4. Almonds thin - 8/10 you'll have to be a peanut lover for this! It definitely adds texture to the dessert but it's not a flavour I like.
5. Waffles was soft and fluffy with a nice crust! Definitely highly recommend getting the waffles combination.
Overall a cute place to bring your date! They also serve free tap water inside to help you wash down the dessert. The price was reasonable considering the generous servings!

Halal tze char in the west
Address: West Co'z Cafe, 1 Woodlands Rd, #01-34 / 35 Junction 10, Singapore 677899
Price: 💰
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My parents wanted to grab some dinner before heading home. We couldn't decide between Kim BBQ or West Co'z Cafe.
As it was quite cold that evening, we decided to settled for latter! We ordered some dishes to share:
1. Chicken Satay - 10/10 the chicken was flavourful, tender and juicy! The peanut sauce was savory, sweet and spicy, definitely a good start to our dinner!
2. Asam fish - 9/10 the fish was fried to perfection and the gravy was so delicious! Sour and spicy. I wish they were more generous with the gravy as this dish was perfect for the rainy weather.
3. Black pepper beef - 8/10 the beef was so tender but the gravy was very peppery that it heats my mouth. I couldn't taste the flavour of the other dish until i wash it down with some drinks.
4. Sambal kangkong - 10/10 the vegetables were cleaned so there was not sand bits. It was crunchy and well balanced in flavours! A must order.
5. Scallion omelette - 10/10 smells fantastic and tastes even better! The wok hey taste on the eggs were great!
6. Thai milk tea - 10/10 well balanced in flavours - sweet and milky. The tea was thick too!
Overall a cosy place for a family dinner or to catch up with your friends in the west. The staffs were also very quick, friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience enjoyable.

Best brunch cafe in Chinatown

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
After checking out of Hotel Soloha, my sister insisted we grab some brunch before heading back.
She showed me her favourite brunch place in the area that is known for handmade brunch and coffee with an aesthetic leafy terrace.
She ordered a bug breakfast club - 10/10 All the elements on the plate was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The portion is definitely huge and will keep you full throughout your day.
The bacon here are thick and chewy, not the crispy kind if you're into that.
I'm not a brunch person so I decided to order a customised dish - sourdough, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon - 10/10 the eggs were creamy and fluffy. Bothe the eggs and salmon were well seasoned and it was definitely too much for me.
if you have a small appetite like myself, I recommend only going for either the eggs or the salmon and not both!
The price is on par with most cafes in Singapore but I loved that the prices are nett here. I highly recommend visiting this place for brunch - definitely worth visiting!

Afternoon tea for 2 at $78 💐😍🫖
#singapore 🏡 Address: Marmalade Pantry, 100 Peck Seah St, #01 -01 Oasia Hotel Downtown, Singapore 079333
I visited Marmalade Pantry for a birthday afternoon tea, they have several outlets around singapore. Ion orchard, Anchorpoint, Downtown Oasia Hotel. We visited the one in Oasia Hotel as it was the cutest among the rest hehe! 💐
The afternoon tea set cost $78++ SGD for 2 pax.
The theme of the tea set is local flavours, so you'll have bites of pandan, chicken rice, sambal flavours.
This theme is available till 31st October! 🎃 It's available from 3PM-6PM everyday.
Here is what comes with the afternoon tea set & my ratings! 💅
Savoury Treats 🍤
01 Beetroot Rojak Shooter (1/5)
02 Hainanese Chicken Quinoa (3/5)
03 Coconut Cake with Sambal Prawn Mayo (5/5) Literally the best thing i've tried! 😍

10 Plain & Raisin Buttermilk Scones (1/5)
It also comes with a choice of tea or coffee! 🫖

Place to go for Turkish food in sg

Recommended to me by a Turkish friend, Deli Turk may look simple from the outside but it is one with really great food and authentically Turkish.

DIY pasta bowl in Singapore 😋
DIY and customise your very own pasta dish!
If you’re a pasta lover like me, you would love the Tipo Pasta Bar, a Muslim-owned restaurant that specializes in handmade pasta.
You can choose to build and diy your own pasta bowl with choice of pasta type ( I chose matcha) , pasta sauce (I chose pesto) and even your mains (e.g chicken/ salmon/ prawn/ mushroom (I chose prawns for my mains)! Servings were of good quantity and pasta was definitively fresh and delicious! Highly recommend coming here for good handmade pasta 🍝💯

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Was looking for a chilled place to grab some light dinner and my friend suggested this place.
Located by the broadwalk of Vivo City, this bistro had a lovely view of Sentosa at sunset.
We ordered:-
1. Spanish Style Gambas - 10/10 The prawn was well seasoned and juicy! The bread seeved on the side was my favourite - chewy and toasty!
2. Crab cake - 10/10 like the prawn, this was well seasoned. The crab cake had a nice texture and well balanced flavour.
3. Vanilla ice cream crepe - 10/10 You can choose from 3 flavours of ice cream to serve with your crepe and we choose the basic vanilla as it won't go wrong. The crepe had a nice texture and the flavour was not too sweet.
Overall, great ambience and delicious food! I highly recommend if you're looking for a good place to catch up with a friend.
Little Saigon In Singapore

Banh Mi Saigon
Address - 505 Ang Mo Kio Ave 8, #01-2668, Singapore 560505
Ambiance/Facilities - small neighborhood shop
Highlights - best banh mi in Singapore
Avg. Price per Person - $10
Rating - 5/5
Banh Mi Saigon is an unpretentious small shop under a HDB block in Ang Mo Kio selling the best Banh Mi in Singapore. They make their own baguette breads and they are stuffed abundantly with ingredients. The bread is crispy on the outside and it's saucy on the inside with lots of meat and vegetables, just the way I love it! Although, it's just bread but it's a great Vietnamese snack that's filling and keeps you going for the day. Don't forget to order a cup of their iced Vietnamese coffee which is bitter sweet and keeps you awake.
Banh Mi Saigon really reminds me of little Vietnam in Singapore, with little lanterns hanging in front of the shop and they do sell some Vietnamese products as well. There are little stools and tables, the same way like how you will eat at a Vietnamese street food stall. There are other food stuff that you can try at this place as well such as their Vietnamese rice rolls, sticky rice and spring rolls. Everything is sold fresh and made fresh, definitely a 10/10 for me. Go try it!

I love Am:PM Cafe because you can get a quick dessert fix at this cafe without burning a hole in your pocket. I was surprised that I could get a double twist ice cream on an egglet waffles for only $10 and it comes with 3 toppings and a sauce. Most cafes would easily charge desserts like this for $15 and above. Super Affordable I would say for $10. I love that that ice cream was milky and creamy and they used egglet waffles instead of the normal rectangular waffles that you see in cafes. The egglet waffles was fragrant and crispy, just yummy. You can even select the flavours for your ice cream and I highly recommend their salted caramel and chocolate flavour. Rich and chocolatey! The cafe has a comfy and cozy vibe and it's clean for a heartland cafe in Ang Mk Kio. You could also chill at this cafe with their specialty coffees such as latte or cuppacino or affagato. Highly recommend Am:PM Cafe.

Looking for something sweet for supper? Then do head down to this interesting ice cream bar that opens till late at 2am. Cold Flings ice cream place is situated under a condominium called High Park Residences and they serve one of the most unique ice cream flavours. How unique? Well, they have ice cream such as blue pea lychee, dark chocolate with collagen peptides and prebiotics, ube ube, and chrysanthemum cocoa nibs. Flavours that you won't normally see in an ice cream shop. I love that their waffles and cones are made on the spot and they are fragrant. I had their double scoop ice cream on a waffle cone, which sets me back at $11. The only down point of this cafe is that waiting time is long and it is quite pricey. Otherwise, it's a nice and cozy place for yummy ice cream as supper. Acai bowls, which is a superfood is also available for order. Now, you know where to go for great ice cream and one that closes late.

Mixue has opened its stores in Singapore and they are well known for their dancing mascots outside their shops, as well as drinks and ice cream that are extremely affordable!
We tried their ice cream cone which was huge and it cost only $1! Wow, I was mind blown and it didn't taste bad, in fact the ice cream was creamy and milky and certainly yummy. Drinks wise, you can expect tons of different varieties of bubble tea. You will be so spoilt for choice. Price wise for drinks is about $2.50 for a huge cup of lemonade and ranges to about $3.50 for a huge cup of grape taro bubble tea. Nothing is above $5 on their menu. Singaporean all time durian season is back!

There are too many stalls in Singapore selling durians and we always supported this particular durian stall known as Lexus Durian King. It is located beside Marine Parade Hawker Centre.
Their durian prices are very competitive and Mao Shan Wang season is back again with prices like 3 for $50 or 1 for $15 MSW.
Good things must share!
Not only do they have durian, they have other fruits such as 🍉 , 🥭 , mangosteen, grapes and etc.
