Hidden Antique Restaurant in Changi
Want to escape the city and be brought back to the old times while dining? Cozy and homey meal but outside the concrete Singapore? Visit The Coastal Settlement and dine with nostalgia as companion. The restaurant is located at 200 Netheravon Road. It may be hidden in the East but I can assure you, you won't regret coming here.
We arrived on a rainy saturday afternoon hungry and cold. The menu was presented like a newspaper! We ordered food and cocktails. Cocktails being perfect for the rainy weather is what my colleague and I have agreed upon while ordering. Haha. You wouldn't really mind waiting for the food as there's a lot to talk about in the restaurant. Every knick-knack will surely invoke a certain memory. Food arrived and we just chowed down as we were both hungry coming from the office. The food we ordered were great and so were the cocktails.
After paying our bill, we then started to go around the restaurant meticulously. As there were not much people, we were able to take lots of pictures. I saw from the website that they also serve afternoon tea and beleieved the restaurant would be a great setting for hangout with friends and family. As much as the restaurant is deemed for casual dining, the restaurant would also be a perfect date night location for sure.
We used the restaurant as our starting point of walking down to Changi beach while discovering lots of sights to see along the way. I will come back to the restaurant to try the afternoon tea!

The GEM of Kuala Lumpur, The RuMa
The RuMa Hotel & Residences is a hidden and incredible hotel for me, the design was amazing, from lobby to the room, it was all impressed me. Me and my colleague stayed at Corner studio (KL view), the room with a small living room, bathtub in toilet, and the room was bright enough and their curtains so different, most of the hotels using curtains but The RUMA is using some kind like wooden blinds, very unique. Their spa is also very comfortable, calm and you can feel Balinese style before you enter the spa entrance. Not to mention, their first hotel was in Shanghai, The PuLi. Heard that it is quite popular hotel in Shanghai.

Literature and design art market
My husband and I came to check out the art market held at The Grand Cathay. It had quite a heavy emphasis on reading and literature. There was even a pop-up booth that allowed you to bring your pre-loved books to exchange them with other books. Many of the titles were by local artists so that was pretty cool. Other stalls also sold products designed by the owners themselves, it was interesting to learn how they got into their respective craftsmanships.

Bamboo Poles Design
Betong International Airport (BTZ) officially opened on 14th of March this year though it was already finished in early 2020. This airport would be very helpful especially it is near in Malaysian Boarder.
When we came here before, it’s not yet in operation but the outside area or in the entrance is open for tourists or visitors. It became one of the check-in points of Betong District because of its decoration that made from bamboo poles. It became famous in the South of Thailand. When tourists come to Betong, they usually visit this airport too, just to take photos with the airport’s decoration.
Even this is just a small airport but there is a great view around because it is in mountain range.
I am really curious about the bamboo poles, will it last for a long time? What do you think? But overall, the entrance decoration is stunning. Nice for taking photos. Come to check-in too🥰
Location: Yarom, Betong District, Yala 9511

Mall or gallery?
A mall full of boutique stores and antique sellers. There is also a couple of fantastic free art exhibitions available.
It's a great rainy day option to walk around and explore the stores and the art.
Very convenient to get here by boat from Sathorn Pier. A little far from the BTS.
I suggest combining it with Warehouse 30 and ATT19

Recently on a staycation here at Grand Park City Hall Hotel, my husband and I weren’t expecting this place to be so gorgeously done up. We were pleasantly surprised by the classy decor and even the paintings on their walls were very sophisticated!
Many areas were very tastefully done up, with the art pieces adding that depth and character to the atmosphere. It is a very nicely designed hotel and an enjoyable stay too!

Address - Burger & Lobster Restaurant, Jewel Changi Airport, 78 Airport Boulevard, #05-203, Singapore 819666
Burger & Lobster originated from London with its first store in Mayfair, and now it has opened a branch right here in Singapore! My husband and I loved the ambience here as it felt open and lit by natural sunlight, on top of the awesome views and surrounding greenery.
However, what was a bit lacking was the standards of food here. For the prices they charge, we were expecting much better tasting food but it was just average.

Futuristic public park
DDP is a public park designed by Zaha Hadid and incorporates futuristic elements, while preserving some historic elements.
Essentially it almost looks like an spaceship in the middle of Seoul, but upon closer inspection it works nicely by placing itself into the landscape of the surrounding area. There are designer lounges, a museum, a cafe as well as art halls housed inside the funky building. However I think you truly get an idea of the scope and scale of the building.
The surrounding park is also a very relaxing place to rest and to stroll around. You'll find traces of the Seoul City wall incorporated into the park as well as pieces from the former Dongdaemun Stadium.
Come at night to see it all lit up and in seemingly even more mystical light.

National Gallery gardens
Address - National Gallery Singapore, 1 Saint Andrew’s Road, #01-01, Singapore 178957
The exterior of the National Gallery Singapore is lined with tall trees and beautiful landscapes gardens to breathe life into its grey colonial walls! I like how the greenery adds that warm human touch to the otherwise quite dull and dreary facade.
There are paths for you to take a stroll as well and since it’s quite flat, you could also ride a bicycle around the area to admire the natural scenery here!
