Kilt Rock - Isle of Skye, Scotland
Kilt Rock is a magnificent geological formation on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. It’s a popular tourist attraction known for its dramatic cliffs & striking resemblance to a pleated kilt, hence the name - Kilt Rock. You can find some dinosaur printings in the area too, hence there’s a Dino Museum in Kilt Rock viewing area. But what brings visitors here is definitely the Mealt Falls, where water plunges from the top of the cliff 90 metres directly into the sea below. It will create a mesmerising sight & an enchanting sound that echoes across the area. Nearby, you can also find a charming small village of Staffin, where you can learn more about the history & traditions of the Isle of Skye. Fort Augustus - Scotland, UK
Fort Augustus is a picturesque village in the Scottish Highlands, in the heart of the Great Glen. Located on the southernmost tip of Loch Ness, this village offers a stunning setting surrounded by mountains and lakes. In the 18th century, it was used as a military base during the Jacobite uprisings. Today the fort no longer stands, but remnants of it can still be seen. Fort Augustus is famous for its canal locks, which connect the Caledonian Canal with Loch Ness. You can witness the spectacle of baits navigating through the series of locks, creating a captivating sight. There’s also a museum about “Nessie”, famously known as the Loch Ness Monster, which I think is a must-visit if you’re there! Usually a day-trip to Glenfinnan Viaduct will bring you to this village. But if you’re planning a road trip, it’s approximately 40 miles (64km) from Inverness. Spanning over 915,000 square metres, the theme park is split into 2 main areas: Waterfront & Summit, both connected via a scenic cable car ride called the Ocean Express. The Waterfront area is filled with vibrant entertainment options, including the thrilling rides - Hair Raiser & Abyss. The Summit however is more focus on exhibits featuring dolphins, sea lions & sharks. If you have a chance, I would recommend you to visit Ocean Park Hong Kong too! As it will provide an unforgettable experiences, something you may not experience in Disneyland Hong Kong. Saigon Central Post Office, located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is a remarkable gem that's built during the French colonial era (between 1886 & 1891). It was designed by Gustave Eiffel, the renowned French architect famous for Eiffel Tower. The architectural style of the post office reflects a blend of Gothic, Renaissance & French colonial influences. The interior features a spacious hall with high ceilings, adorned with intricate decorations & large maps of Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta. In the post office, it now houses souvenir shops and cafes too! During the World War II, the building became the HQ of the Japanese military administration. After Vietnam's independence in 1954, it continued to serve as a post office. Today, the Saigon Central Post Office is not only a functioning post office, but also a popular tourist attraction. Burano is a small & colourful island located in the Venetian Lagoon. The island is famous for its picturesque canals, brightly painted houses & lace-making tradition. The island’s history dates back to the 6th century when it was settled by people fleeing barbarian invasions on the mainland. The colourful houses are painted due to a legend saying that the different colours help fisherman find their way home in the fog. It’s considered one of the most beautiful & vibrant market squares in Europe, and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This square is surrounded by stunning building, including the Gothic-style Town Hall, the King’s House & many numerous guildhalls. The Grand-Place has been the center of political, social and cultural life in Brussels for centuries and it’s also the home for several festivals & events (for example the Winter Wonders festival during the holiday season). Since 1837, it has been the London residence and administrative headquarters of the monarch (Royal Family) of the United Kingdom. It’s located in the City of Westminster. The palace has 775 rooms, including 19 state rooms, 52 Royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms. The palace also features stunning gardens and a famous balcony where the Royal Family makes public appearances.
