Get Your Perfect Photos at Osaka Umeda Sky
🇯🇵 Did I not mention the Osaka Umeda Sky Building to you? You'll be amazed by the number of times you can ascend and descend the escalator tunnel just to capture that perfect shot. And that's even before we paid for the entrance ticket.
Of course, since you're here, you absolutely must visit the sky roof as well. It's not just about getting amazing pictures, but also about experiencing a breathtaking view that you don't get to see at ground level. It's truly spectacular. While I didn't manage to capture the perfect shots, the overall experience was mesmerizing and more than satisfying.

Kimono Day at Asakusa Sensoji Temple Tokyo
Let me share with you my favourite day in Japan is when I wore a Traditional Kimono for the first time! The photos may not all be perfect; some might even be hilariously awkward. However, each one holds significant sentimental value for me.
It was a full day of walking around in our kimonos. We started at the Kimono Rental place call 着物レンタル 蓮-REN in the morning for the fitting. Our package includes hairstyling and a full day rental kimono set (up till evening), which cost us around 6000 yen which is a pretty reasonable price, I must say. We didn't want to let our lovely hairstyles go to waste. If it weren't for the encouragement of my travel-mate, I probably wouldn't have ventured out on trains and explored different places in my kimono, struggling with those traditional Japanese slippers but it was definitely worthwhile. Haha!
If you like exploring beautiful places for insta-worthy shot, go to this stretch of road near Zojoji Temple, where we took photos with Tokyo Tower in the background. If you're interested, feel free to look it up on Google maps.
P.S. Be ready to be a Kimono mascot when you’re there, took so many pictures with random tourist requesting us to be in their photos.

Ghibli Town
When I came here on a solo trip last year during the autumn season, I pondered what would it looks like if the entire onsen town is covered in snow. I’ve seen many photos online and it’s dreamy.
I was lucky enough to get to visit this Studio Ghibli-inspired onsen town again. And just like how I imagined it to be, a snow wonderland.
This town is located in a secluded area in Obanazawa, Yamagata. It’s quite a travel to get there but nothing stops an explorer like me. It was worth it ❄️
P.S.
There’s only one restaurant near the onsen town, and there’s a long waiting line.

Snow Monsters
A snowboarders and skiers’ haven, Zao Onsen in Yamagata is famous for “snow monsters” as the trees turn into huge monster-like shapes during deep winter.
We initially planned to snowboard here but couldn’t as I was still healing from my knee injury. So, we decided to take the ropeway to the top for the night illumination, buuuuut it was -10C, we were underdressed, and the strong gusts of wind were unbearable.
There are many hot springs around the town, and without a doubt, we submerged ourselves in one of the delightful outdoor onsens.
Urrrrgh! I’ll definitely come back ❄️❤️

TodaiJi Shrine - Nara
#passionpassport
When completed in the 740s, Todai-ji was the largest building project ever on Japanese soil. Its creation reflects the complex intermingling of Buddhism and politics in early Japan. When it was rebuilt in the 12th century, it ushered in a new era of Shoguns and helped to found Japan’s most celebrated school of sculpture. The roots of Todai-ji are found in the arrival of Buddhism in Japan in the 6th century. Buddhism made its way from India along the Silk Route through Central Asia, China and Korea. Buddhism quickly became associated with the Imperial court whose members became the patrons of early Buddhist art and architecture. #todaiji #visitjapan #kyoto #nara

Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
Famous for its appearance in Makoto Shinkai’s hit anime ‘The Garden of Words’, the expansive Shinjuku Gyoen was originally a private estate before opening to the public in 1946. It boasts some of the most beautiful gardens in the city. Each sector in the park has a different theme – there is a French garden, an English landscape garden, a botanical greenhouse and amomiji-yama (maple mountain) – to showcase each of the four seasons. As such, the park offers a different experience as the season changes, but it’s especially popular for hanami (flower viewing) gatherings during cherry blossom season.
