Parking is located adjacent to the science center and is free! Adult tickets to the center are $19.50 and children’s are $17.50
The Greensboro Science Center is my favorite science museum! You can spend hours here and still feel like you missed something! Their omnispjere shows are enthralling! Make sure you see one of their shows when you visit! You won’t regret it!
Outside of the building in the back they have a zoo! You can see turtles, lizards, monkeys and more! They also have a “Sky Wild” outdoor zip line and tree course that my nephew is obsessed with! If you visit Greensboro make sure to add the Science Center to you itinerary!
Discover N. Carolina History in Old Salem
Old Salem is a popular historical site located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The historical town is comprised of a museum, several shops, a garden and Saint Phillips Moravian Church.
It costs $20 for a ticket that includes access to all the open building. They offer a student discount with valid ID ($12)
We visited in early autumn and the town was beautifully decorated for fall. They had pumpkins out everywhere and the leaves were just beginning to change. The church was a very sobering place to visit. They discovered many slave graves under the church that have since been marked with a simple “adult” or “child”. It is truly heartbreaking.
Visiting Old Salem is a great way to learn more about the history of the area. It’s definitely a must do while in Winston-Salem!
