Old Cinema New Life
Rex Cinema… I still remember the 3 hours queue for Jurassic Park tickets in 1993. I’m glad that this place is being repurposed. Loved the place and the bookstore (covering in another post).
many cinemas were affected by the home video and online viewing, Rex Cinema at Petaling Street is one of the locations under Shaw Brothers that did not survive the cinema downturn.
It was repurposed into a hostel before destroyed in a fire in 2007. Finally, some great minds revived this place into a hip joint with little shops, hip coffee joints and a beautiful bookstore at the top floor.
Have a look at the photos for a peek of a new life of an old cinema.

Gate of the East
Never have I ever been on a such tall door that shows the gateway to the East. With a whooping height of nearly 300 metres, this archway 🌆 is a symbolic representation of that it has opened gates to the economic prosperity of the city. It also tells you that you've reached the city centre of Suzhou, right in the middle of the CBD (Central Business District). With a nice evening to spend in front of the Jinji lake (as it is in the shape of heart of a chicken 🐓 😂 ), people throng here every evening. They also do have a nice laser lit water dance🎊 show, which is quite an amusement for kids and families. Situated right above the Dongfang station, you can easily reach here by 🚈 and coming out there are lot of amazing food options. A perfect evening getaway if you're living in Suzhou #suzhoutravel #couplestrip

Coffee is quite strong & a nice balance touch with fizzing soda & Lemonade 👌🏼 Pretty much woke me up 💪🏻
Not really a hidden gem, but it’s lil underly discovered since this cafe house is in the housing area 🏡 But, the place is super cozy to hangout in. The high ceiling makes it less hot inside, numerous spacious seats available, and when you go outdoor it’s the same coziness as inside 😆👌🏼🌿 Heck even the high ceiling can’t fit into my Phones camera frame 😅
Anyways, been awhile since wanting to go here and it’s quite worth it. 📸 Happy Monday everyone!
Lawang Sewu, Semarang
Lawang Sewu, literally Thousand Doors, is a landmark in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, built as the headquarters of the Dutch East Indies Railway Company.
Several years ago, Lawang Sewu was known as a spooky and haunted place, so tourists tend to still view the rooms in this place as a mystical place.
However, thanks to the management of the government and PT KAI, Lawang Sewu's face has become more magnificent without reducing the historical value of every corner.
Currently Lawang Sewu is used as a historical tourist spot and a charming photo spot. The building is used as a museum to present a collection of railway history in Indonesia. The corner that most attracts tourists is the basement which is said to be a place of torture and dungeons during the colonial period.
However, in recent years, the crypt has been closed by the Lawang Sewu management for security reasons and to avoid historical bias.
Visitors can come to Lawang Sewu from 7 am to 9 pm. The entry ticket price for adults is IDR 10,000,- for students, IDR 5,000 for children, and IDR 5,000 for children.
Dublin is a must on your bucket list!
Getting There - Dublin airport is a hub, so you’ll easily find a cheap flight from many countries. To arrive from the airport into town? there’s plenty of buses or taxi. The Dublin express is probably the fastest as it goes through the tunnel, you’ll be in the city centre in only 30 minutes (buy the ticket online as it’s cheaper).
Once in the city centre, you can just go anywhere by walking. The world is at your feet.
Attractions - There’s plenty to do in Dublin. I personally suggest to go to EPIC (The Irish Emigration Museum), it’s really a fantastic experience, especially if you have Irish ancestors. You’ll discover that what it means to be Irish expands far beyond the borders of Ireland through the stories of Irish emigrants who became scientists, politicians, poets, artists and even outlaws all over the world.
Trinity college and The Book of Kells is another great experience.
If you have time go the National Gallery of Ireland. It’s free, open 7days a week and has many great paintings.
Hotels - There’s many nice hotels in Dublin, but if you value your sleep don’t choose one in the Temple bar area.
Food & Restaurants - The restaurant and cafe scene has really stepped up in Dublin. Walk around the city centre, avoid the tourists’ traps and you’ll be fine.
Shopping - Grafton street is one of the areas where you can start your shopping. Just make sure you have enough room in your luggage. 😂

Kaili is home to one of the biggest ethnic Miao villages in China and, thankfully, it’s very accessible to visit.
A bus ride from the city centre, the ethnic village is located between the hills so there’s plenty of opportunities to get an aerial perspective.
Historic on the outside but still nice on the inside, many of the buildings have been converted for the tourist flock - whether it be bougie hotels, nice cafes or decent places to stop and get some snacks the visit should be fairly easy.
As with all of Guizhou, getting off the beaten track and exploring how deep into the alleyways you can get is always the best way forward.

The spot that is back and forth is being explored by Mimin, according to the location, this place is really CHILL!

It's really comfortable to stay here for a long time, it's also really cool when it's raining again! Perfecto!

To the newest outlet Eighty
Another spot in South Jakarta, to be precise in Antasari. This coffeeshop was previously on Jln. Prince Antasari also goes by the name "Ngopile" and changes his name to @kafelapanpuluh
With semi-industrial interior and outdoor with a view of a residential area. Plus the canopy roof makes the shadow look really pretty. Moreover, the afternoon is really beautiful here 😍
The drink that you must try is the ice matcha latte and the many variants of the special tea. We tried the "contentment" variant, the tea flavor is unique, there is a mixture of milk. The donut cheese is also pretty good

Varieties of restaurants and cafes.Few restaurants which are on the sides have great view while dining. Washroom access are limited as of now, perhaps due to MCO.

Over the time, at some point, you have to get over the things that you were addicted to; but somehow I can't get over this rooftop addiction🤑. Especially living in Shanghai, every nook and corner it is showered with rooftops. Looks like, we all want a different point of view in life 😂. This rooftop place is called Bobolee rooftop garden 🌸 situated in Jianguo west road. Although food options for brunch are limited, they've got some quite good avocado toast and cappuccino. They also do have a indoor place, neatly decorated with lush green plants 🌿. And so, we were able to toggle between rooftop and indoor on the rainy 🌧️ day 😋. A perfect brunch spot for your weekend !! #brunchspots #shanghailife
As the landscape narrows down in the South India, there are two important mountain 🏔 ranges that decide most of the life existence here. One is the Eastern ghats and other is the Western ghats. And in general, the Western ghats ranges are bit high and so, they're able to block most of the clouds 🌧 that are passing by; resulting in huge amount of ☔️ rainfall. This in turn also gives the opportunity for humans to grow different profitable plants like tea and coffee. Unlike coffee, the tea plantation is a bit easier to grow and maintian. And it is mostly conceived that tea is brought from China to India during the early trading days. Munnar is an important tourist spot to see wide variety of animals like cheetah 🐆, bear 🐻 and even fox 🦊. Also a great place to spend for an afternoon 🫖 tea.

Moments at Tokyo, Japan
Tokyo (東京, Tōkyō) is Japan's capital and the world's most populous metropolis. It is also one of Japan's 47 prefectures, consisting of 23 central city wards and multiple cities, towns and villages west of the city center. The Izu and Ogasawara Islands are also part of Tokyo.
Prior to 1868, Tokyo was known as Edo. A small castle town in the 16th century, Edo became Japan's political center in 1603 when Tokugawa Ieyasu established his feudal government there. A few decades later, Edo had grown into one of the world's most populous cities. With the Meiji Restoration of 1868, the emperor and capital moved from Kyoto to Edo, which was renamed Tokyo ("Eastern Capital"). Large parts of Tokyo were destroyed in the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 and in the air raids of 1945.
Today, Tokyo offers a seemingly unlimited choice of shopping, entertainment, culture and dining to its visitors. The city's history can be appreciated in districts such as Asakusa and in many excellent museums, historic temples and gardens. Contrary to common perception, Tokyo also offers a number of attractive green spaces in the city center and within relatively short train rides at its outskirts.
