The food spread was extensive, and covered all kinds of cuisines. Do note that weekend and weekday dinner buffet menus are different. Here's what to look forward to on a Sunday evening:
- Delicious live noodle station (laksa, collagen broth, wanton mee)
- Live pasta, egg, and BBQ seafood station
- Live roast lamb and beef station (delicious rump steak!)
- Wide array of fresh seafood: shuckled oysters, tiger prawns, lobster, crab
- Huge selection of cheeses, antipasti, salads + sushi and cold soba/udon!
- Many local zichar (chilli crab mantou) and international favorites (thai basil chicken!)

Today we look at one of the most glorious breakfast buffet spreads I've ever had in a Singapore hotel. The JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach is situated in between Marina Bay and the CBD. It's a marvelous 5 star hotel, and the breakfast buffet - from food to service quality - did not disappoint.
Breakfast buffet is served at The Beach Road Kitchen, less than a minute's walk from the hotel lobby. It's spacious with ample seating options, but the food was the highlight. Expect everything that caters to all taste buds. Some worth the mention:
- Live congee and noodle station
- Live egg station (with chilli crab filling!)
- Extensive cheese and cold cuts selection
- Wide array of French and English pastries
- Many local favourites like nonya kueh, as well as delicious zi char dishes
Overall, the food was extremely delicious, so I recommend getting the breakfast package if you book a stay at the JW Marriott.
The only critique I have would be to have more vegan and gluten-free options. It didn't bother me but it could be a problem for some.

This is a buffet at the 32nd floor of Keihan hotel near universal studio Japan. Most of the restaurant nearby are packed once the theme park is close. This restaurant was less crowded and it was quite a decent price. There were free flow drinks. Some of the items i tried were the bruschetta with prosciutto and mozzarella, clam chowder, snow crab, matcha ice cream.

Something to eat for everyone, there's sushi, cook it yourself BBQ, botomless drinks, including bubble teas and dessert, the grilled oysters were definitely a highlight. There is great variety to satisfy every palate in the family, even ice cream for the little ones😋🍦

Do you fancy a dazzling date under the stars? With private playlist (Spotify) and air-conditioning dome, you can enjoy the ultimate privacy with friends and family having steamboat meals at a very affordable price. Buffets at Skydome start from RM 38.90++/pax for 2 hours but of course you may order ala carte or sets as you wish. Private dome can accommodate 10 pax with no issues but there is a minimum spend of RM300 on weekdays.
Service for private domes are top notch and the quality of the meat is better than expected for this buffet price. You can have up to 3 different soup bases per pot and we loved the pork bone soup and pumpkin soup the best. They open till midnight so do check this out!
p/s: It is on the same floor as Hallaway. Even on a weekday, we managed to catch some live bands performing after our meal.

Hotel Sigiriya with beautiful views of the Lion Rock
We had a wonderful stay in Hotel Sigiriya during our visit to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the most iconic landmark in Sri Lanka. The hotel is 2 km away from the entrance of Sigiriya Rock, which is also known as the Lion Rock. We were welcomed with amazing views of the Lion Rock the moment we set foot in the hotel. The rock could be seen clearly from the outdoor pool area and we could even see the visitors on the rock using the telescope provided!
Our hotel room was clean and spacious. There were French doors leading to patio with sitting areas. Our stay included buffet dinner served in the open-aired restaurant in the hotel. The hotel was very accommodative to our request to provide takeaway breakfast as we needed to leave before breakfast time to climb the Lion Rock.

The Sofitel hotel is located in Longhua district, specifically in the commercial area of Haikou. The restaurant is situated on the 35th floor which hosts amazing panoramic views, facing Evergreen park and the ocean.
The buffet offers a large selection for all tastes from seafood, salads, delicious desserts, Chinese food to Western food. Undoubtedly, it is one of the best buffets that I have tried so far in Haikou, the quality is exceptional and the staff very professional.
💰Lunch from Monday to Friday: 168¥
💰Saturdays and Sundays: 198¥
The restaurant also offers buffet dinner, and the seafood section is particularly delicious.
I totally recommend this buffet for foodies!

Mother’s Day @ Colony - Ritz Carlton Hotel
We reserved a table for four to celebrate Mother’s Day at Colony in Ritz Carlton Hotel, one of Singapore’s best buffet.
The buffet has an amazing spread of local and foreign cuisines. I especially love the Chicken Rice and Noodle Station. The crispy claypot noodle comes with a whole abalone! It was sooooo good.
Colony is a little expensive for the price but definitely worth coming once in your lifetime!!

呢到最出名就係甜品🤤雪糕🍦有足足十款口味！個人比較鍾意芝士蛋糕🍰味及椰子味🥥。酥皮撻類仲有聖安度蛋糕、葡撻、雲尼拿撻。甜品櫃有Tiramisu、士多啤梨泡芺、綠茶紅豆蛋卷、焦糖奶凍、柚子蛋白撻、芝士蛋糕等等，款式非常多😍
海鮮區比較少款式，只有青口、蝦及蜆，但都夠新鮮。刺身就有5款，非常新鮮，每款都係即叫即切，仲要係厚切。熱食仲有中菜特色區，有豉油雞、叉燒、滷水豆腐、雞蛋、紅腸。點心區比較特別少見嘅有牛肉燒賣。點心以蒸籠蓋住保溫，仲有潮州粉果、冬菇豬肉燒賣、叉燒包。牛肉燒賣都幾正😆BBQ Area有各式各樣嘅香腸，有摩洛哥羊肉香腸、坎伯蘭香腸、西班牙香腸、紐倫布香腸，蔬果類有翠玉瓜、粟米等等。
整體環境舒適，午市嚟講食物種類算多，仲有海景望住食，假日嚟食好Chill😌甜品真係大愛雪糕😋

Dining @ Food Capital - Grand Copthorne Hotel
We reserved our monthly buffet session at Food Capital in Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.
The dining experience was nice and the spread was great. They have Japanese cuisine, pastas, bbq and grill stations, noodle stations (Singapore Laksa and Prawn Noodle), Chicken/Duck Rice, Soups, Indian Cuisine, Seafood on ice and also a variety of selection of Teas from Raffles Lighthouse series.
My favourite is the Laksa! I had 3 servings 😣
The nearest MRT is Havelock MRT Station (TE16). Probably a 10 minute walk can get you there!
Tips: Do remember to sign up for the Millennium Hotels Membership to get a discount, a free bottle of wine, and accumulate rebates on your dining!
Time for a diet now! Maybe I will review Colony buffet next time. Hehe

RISE at Marina Bay Sands hotel is well known for its buffet serving an extensive range of southeast asian food. At RISE, you can be promised quality, fresh and delicious food.
There is a wide selection of food for every cuisine. The chilled seafood is so fresh and juicy, especially the sashimi and snow crab.
Being a dessert lover, i tried all the desserts and thoroughly enjoyed each and every of it, especially the pandan cake and ice cream.

High CP buffet at East Hotel
Feast at East Hotel in TaiKoo Shing has one of the highest CP buffet in Hong Kong.
After the pandemic things have changed a lot, including ways to order. Before the buffet was to choose a main course to enjoy with the salad, ham, seafood and dessert spread. But now a selection of hot dishes can be ordered on your own mobile phone and they come in smaller portions so you get to taste more variety. The freshly fried soft-shell crabs, seared scallops and roti are must-try.
From the sushi table don’t miss the deliciously marinated sashimi. Oysters are now opened ahead but honestly they taste too bland. other than that I did enjoy the Thai style chicken feet.
Save room for dessert - start with the gelato!! The chocolate gelato was decadent and the melon amazingly refreshing and delicately sweet. There are a wide range of dainty mini tarts and cakes so you get to have a taste of all without stuffing your stomach.

Decided to give this 1200yen buffet a try. It's roughly 13 sgd. There's quite a variety of food. Curry rice, dry noodle, ramen, toast, salad, dumplings, miso soup, egg soup, fried egg, friuts, Yogurt , fried chicken and wedges.

The food at this hotel is nothing short of delicious. Whenever I go to Macau, the hotel I want to go to is the Sofitel. It may not have the beauty as the Cotai hotels but the Sofitel has a beauty that is vintage and unique. Taiwan is filled with the many Chinese street food and they are very serious about a good steamboat too!
In Ximending, there are 3 shops located all around called the new mala hotpot, where this is popular due to its very affordable friendly prices. For about 50sgd, you are able to not only get seafood but also a marbling beef of A8 - A9 grade where they will slice it thinly and presented in quite a nice photogramamble way. The seafood here are also really fresh.
And this also comes with a wide variety of drinks which also include Taiwanese beer! For dessert, they have 2 popular brands, from hagen daz and movenpick where there are more than 30 flavours to choose from!

The restaurant is called Daikiya, located on 1/F, 26 Kimberley Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.
For lunch time, they will open from 12-3 PM. It will be good if you can book a table in advance to avoid waiting, but they have lots of table so as long as you can manage to come before 12 PM, you might still get a table quickly enough.
You need to order your door by your phone and wait for the food to come. It takes some time for them to relate your food so it will be better if you can order as many food as long as you can finish them and not wasting them.
They have lots of varieties of seafood and sushi, so empty your stomach before come to the restaurant

Great Breakfast Spread At Bentley Hotel
I have never known that a 3 star hotel would be able to provide a wide variety spread of buffet breakfast for travellers here in Taiwan. My thinking was always a simple breakfast to go, or just a 1 time set meal provided by the hotel and that's it.
But not for Bentley Hotel, the dining room which is well furnished, has a spread of western food like your sausages and fries, where they too of course have Taiwanese breakfast like porridge, and condiments like pork floss, eggs, peanuts and many other choices. Also, there are hot food like steam fish, Marinated chicken, stir fried vegetables and cakes too!
For a 3 star hotel, I've to say this is one amazing stay here in Taoyuan!
