Carlton Hotel Singapore
My stay at @carltonhotelsg last weekend was a treat. Seriously, the location is a winner – a quick walk to Raffles City Shopping Centre, CHIJMES, and Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. Basically, a food and shopping heaven at my doorstep.
•
The Premier Club Room was spacious, clean, and super comfy, plus a killer panoramic view of the bustling city. They thought of everything – welcome fruits, a complimentary minibar, and all the tech stuff a business traveler needs, like high-speed internet and a moveable ergonomic setup. The bed? Sealy Posturepedic magic that guarantees a solid night’s sleep in pure comfort. The room was inclusion of Premier Club Lounge access that elevated the experience with benefits like a complimentary breakfast buffet, all-day refreshments, and evening cocktails with hors d’oeuvres from 6 pm to 8 pm.
•
Within the hotel premises, you can take a dip in the pool or hit up the newly renovated gym surrounded by greenery for a solid workout. If you’re in the mood for a quiet afternoon, Tuxedo Café & Pâtisserie is your spot for freshly brewed coffee and handcrafted pastries.
•
And when it came to dinner, we decided on Cafe Mosaic. They had this 1-for-1 promo (applicable for Citibank, DBS/POSB, HSBC, OCBC and UOB cardmembers till 31 December 2023) for their Weekend Seafood Buffet. @louislyeys , being the big seafood fan, went all out on the king crab legs – a seafood lover’s dream along with a spread of sumptuous local and international dishes.
•
Carlton Hotel nailed the staycation game – prime location, comfy room with all the perks, activities to keep you entertained, and food options that hit the spot. Weekend well spent!

Best steak in Singapore!
SAVE THIS for the world’s greatest butcher Dario Cecchini joins Mondrian’s Bottega Di Carna to create the last word in vibrant modern italian! Officially open for reservations, Bottega di Carna is firing up the dining scene as Dario Cecchini, hailed by the New York Times as the ‘world’s greatest butcher’ and star of Netflix’s ‘Chef’s Table,’ joins forces with Mondrian Singapore Duxton’s passionate chefs.
Created by a maverick who has cooked for everyone from Anthony Bourdain to Elton John to King Charles III, Bottega Di Carna is a celebration of Cecchini’s commitment to flavour, showcasing classic and unexpected cuts as pieces of art, going back to the future of crudos and charcuterie, creative handmade pasta, fired steaks and fish, and bold progressive wines.
We sampled their Stockyard Ribeye 280g which is cooked in Dario’s wood fired grill and all their cuts are dry rubbed with Dario’s signature salt. It offers a symphony of flavors: the savory umami of perfectly seasoned beef and the smoky allure of the grill. We also tried their Lamb Cutlets, grilled to perfection. It’s tender and juicy, with a golden-brown crust that’s both crispy and flavorful.
Expect craftsmanship and a playful gastronomic experience, perfect for long lunches and fun-filled dinners, where tableside service and trolleys add theatre in the light- filled space that overlooks the Mondrian’s garden.

Ramadan festivities at Geylang Serai!
Time to soak up all the Ramadan festivities because bazaars are finally back! Although it has everything under one roof, from live music performances, home decor, fashion, to even game stalls, the main draw of the bazaar is always the glorious food 😋 Love this year concept of alfresco seating (so cozy and modern) and the upper deck with lounge-like seats setting!
Tips to enjoy your Ramadan Bazaar experience:
💚 Wear something comfortable
💚 Go during weekdays when it’s less crowded
💚 Come later at night when the weather is cooler and has fewer people
Happy exploring and have fun trying out all the food!
📍 Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar - the biggest, with 700 stalls.

Things To Do in East of Singapore
East is my favourite area in Singapore, there are so many instagramable places and local food to explore 🤍
I would say best part of Singapore can be found at East side, from cultural experience to culinary adventure! And i love how the residential are very low density at East area and no sky scrapper, still look like very old style of Singapore..
🏷 Save this for your future visit to Singapore!
Things to do in East of Singapore:
1. Explore neighbourhood - instagramable spot to visit: Koon Seng Road Pastel Houses, Joo Chiat Community Center, Red House, street art mural.
2. Try local dishes: Laksa, Nasi Lemak, Rice Dumpling and Nyonya Kuih ( My fav: Lapis Sagu & Kueh Salat)
3. Experience the culture: Check out Kim Choo and Rumah Bebe
4. Cafe hopping: Baba Chew Cafe, Chin Mee Chin, Cafe Natsu, Tigerlily Patisserie, Bird of Paradise Gelato
5. Picnic at East Coast
6. Stay at Peranakan inspired Boutique Hotel: my choice would be @hotelindigosingapore @ihghotels
Is East side of Singapore your favourite part as well?!

Beautiful Gardens in Singapore
Called this Garden City as my forever home 🇸🇬 sharing with you my favourite Gardens in Singapore. I think it’s my nature like to visit gardens, for my inspiration..
Save this post for your future visit to Singapore 🤍
Can’t believe took awhile to collate all the photos for this video, also can’t believe that i’ve visited those Gardens for many many times 😅
1. Gardens By The Bay being the Best Garden, best time to visit, late afternoon until evening to enjoy Supertree light show. If you like night photography stay until late! The ambience blue light at night look amazing too! 👍
2. Singapore Botanic Garden being the Most Romantic in my opinion, i guess because of the feel you get from classic English Garden. Lake with swan, colonial style pergola and big canopy trees.. It’s being Singapore’s 1st UNESCO World Heritage Site too! National Orchid Garden is worth to visit, check out New Orchidetum includes misty cool house & ‘Secret Ravine’ that mimics mountain forests. Best time to visit very early morning or late afternoon.
3. Most Iconic goes to Jewel Changi Airport, need no introduction for this place. Go and check out their Canopy Park where they have Hedge Maze, Mirror Maze, Sky Nets and many more! Best time to visit i would say in the evening 7-8pm as you can enjoy the light show at HSBC Rain Vortex.
4. For moody portrait photography you might want to check Jurong Lake Garden. There is a grassland with Lone tree sculpture. The Lone Tree is made from recycled iron reinforcement bars salvaged from old park pathways. This sculpture is inspired by the industrial origins of Jurong. Best time to visit 6.30-7am, you’ll get the best light on sunny day.

Singapore National Orchid Garden Coolhouse
Love snapping picture at Singapore Botanic Garden especially at National Orchid Garden.. it’s such a beautiful place for afternoon stroll with family 🥰
Orchid is Singapore’s National Flower. Vanda Miss Joaquim was chosen as Singapore's national flower from among 40 other contenders, including some 30 orchids. For its resilience and year-round blooming quality, it was chosen on 15 April 1981 to represent Singapore's uniqueness and hybrid culture.
Tropical Montane Orchidetum
The tropical Montane Orchidetum simulates the experience of ascending through a tropical montane forest and showcases a diversity of orchids and other plants (e.g. bromeliads, gingers, tropical rhododendrons, gesneriads (and magnolias) from the rich low to high-elevation montane forest. Each of the display houses within the Orchidetum has been expanded beyond their original size, increasing by almost threefold the combined display area.
The Sembcorp Cool House
They preserved part of the original 260m2 frame of the original cool house and curated the orchid collection in the Cool House according to five biogeographical regions – Malesia, Continental Southeast Asia and South Asia, Australasia, Afrotropics and the Neotropics.
The Sembcorp Cool House is designed to emulate a high elevation montane forest, which exists at altitudes of 1,000m to 2,000m, and with a surrounding temperature of 16 to 23 degrees Celsius. Researchers will be able to study rare orchids that are naturally found only at higher elevations, such as such as Cymbidiums (also known as Boat Orchids), Dendrochilums (also known as Chain Orchids), Cyrtochilums and Phragmipediums (also known as Slipper Orchids). This will greatly benefit taxonomic and floristic research, as researchers will be able to grow rare species, before identifying and documenting them at a later stage when they flower.
Approximately 1,000 orchid species and hybrids are exhibited in the Cool House, together with new varieties from other plant families beyond orchids, an increase from the previous collection of 350 orchid species. Also growing among the orchids, are collections of carnivorous plants, begonias that have characteristic shimmering leaves that help them to thrive in areas with low light levels.

Sling & Swim at Raffles Hotel Singapore
I’ve been always amazed with iconic & historical landmark in Singapore, Raffles Hotel.
It’s always been my favourite, the place and the vibes is just speaks luxury, classy and elegance!
I had a change to experience Sling and Swim @raffleshotelsingapore 🤍
Experience lounge poolside with Raffles Hotel's iconic Singapore Sling in hand and my satay fried rice lunch..
I love the feel of doing nothing at the pool side and enjoy the swimming in this iconic hotel. And not forgetting their impeccable services from all their servers.
During my sling & swim experience, it was raining and the servers were so nice helping me with the umbrella to the covered area and re-arrange my set up after the rain has stopped.
Talking about Singapore Sling.. If you don’t know the iconic drink, The Singapore Sling, widely regarded as the national drink, was first created in 1915 by Raffles bartender Ngiam Tong Boon.
About Raffles Hotel

Secret beach at Kusu 🐢 Island
Do you know there is a beach 🏖 area on Kusu Island?
Yes! There is a nice beach on this southern island. Kusu Island, also known as “Tortoise Island,” is just a short ferry ride from Lazarus and St John’s island.
How can you get to Kusu Island? Get the island hopping pass! I purchased the pass (Singapore Island Cruise) from Trip.com that allowed me to visit three islands: St. John's Island, Lazarus Island, and Kusu Island.
Most people visit Kusu Island to visit the Chinese Da Bogong temple, the turtle monuments and sanctuary, and other cultural spots.
But most visitors do not know that there is a serene beach that is great for swimming. The waters here are calm and you can spend a few hours just enjoying the sea and skyline of Singapore.
I strongly recommend spending some time on this small but welcoming island!

Beach getaway at Lazarus Island and Tips!
Sand, sea, and sun! Dreaming of enjoying the three “S” in Singapore? Hop on a ferry and head off to Lazarus Island for a relaxing day at the beach 🏝
You can enjoy popular weekend activity by getting the island hopping pass! I purchased the pass (Singapore Island Cruise) from Trip.com that allowed me to visit three islands: St. John's Island, Lazarus Island and Kusu Island.
Some tips for a fun beach day at Lazarus island:
⛴ Start your day early by taking the early morning ferry from Marina South Pier as the islands can be crowded on weekends. If you visit on weekdays, you can enjoy more space but there’s limited ferry timings.
☀️ Apply lots of sunblock before getting off at St. John’s Island as you have to walk from the pier to Lazarus Island and the way is mostly not sheltered.
🧺 Pack a food basket as there are no food stalls on the island.
🏖 “Chope” your beach spot with your picnic mat! The bigger that mat, the better as you can place all your stuff on it and even lie on it to take a nap.
🤿 Bring all your beach and swimming paraphernalia as the sea is one of the better places you can swim in Singapore
🚿 You can shower and clean up after your sea activities! Just walk over to the public washroom facilities. The warm from the beach is also unsheltered! So put more sunblock!
🐢 Take the afternoon ferry to stop by Kusu Island for a scenic walk through the temple.
🛳 When you return to Marina South Pier, go to level 2 and visit the Singapore Maritime Gallery. You can learn about Singapore maritime history, cool down, and even redeem a souvenir!
So who is heading to Lazarus Island soon?

Black Mamba & Pad Krapao Croquettes 🦐
Black Mamba & Pad Krapao Croquettes 🦐
❣️8/10📍Raw Kitchen Bar, Singapore #foeifyinsg
✏️ Black Mamba is a black fried rice with tiger prawn 🍤(fresh and crunchy), squid ink sofrito🦑, fermented chili samba 🌶 and topped with curry leaves🌱. This is an all time signature dish at Raw Kitchen Bar🌟. The first impression of this dish was “this is HUGE”. Also their fried rice was very fragrance and for every bite, you will also get a small bits of squid meat for extra chewy texture. It would be a nice dish to share as the portion can be a bit big for one😆(but I do finished all by myself lol) 😂. Would love to have more prawns to balance with the rice ratio🦐.
I also ordered Pad Krapao Croquettes🐔. This is such a unique combo. The fillings was creamy and went very nice with the crispy texture outside. It would be perfect if the Pad Krapao flavors can be more prominent. But overall, it was very nice experience and would go back to try more delicious dishes💕🥰.
Also they don’t have an indoor seating (air con) so would recommend to go at a cooler time🙆🏻♀️.

If Food brings you joy, and Taiwanese cuisine fills your heart with happiness... Maybe it's time to visit @a8undance. Motivated by the flavours of Taiwan, the restaurant owner embarked on a journey with the goal of bringing authentic Taiwanese tastes to their customers. They also aimed to introduce a fusion of flavours and creative presentation, ensuring that every diner could experience the delight of experience their exceptional style.
.
I'll start with the Veg, and if you're a fan of Taiwanese-flavored king oyster mushrooms, you MUST-TRY the San Bei Mushrooms. With a blend of basil, sesame oil, rice wine, and soy sauce, the dish creates a remarkable aroma. For sides, I got the Salt & Pepper Squid with its crunchy coating and Prawn Toast, a unique toasty-crunchy prawn hybrid. Also, a MUST-TRY; Gua Bao, which is inspired by Taiwanese dish with hand-roasted peanut crisps, offers a balanced texture with fragrance. Finally, the Braised Beef Noodle Soup is tender and rich in flavour, suitable even for those with milder beef's taste preferences.

Beach view from Kallang Basin
Enjoy the gorgeous views of the beach along Kallang Riverside Park from a kayak in the middle of Kallang Basin!
Yes this is possible! You can rent a kayak from PAssion WaVe @ Marina Bay and row in the Kallang Basin.
I rented a kayak as part for the paddle and clean up activity organised by PA and ActiveSG.
I paddled up to the beach area at Kallang Riverside Park. It was a relaxing experience to enjoy the view of the beach and the surrounding landmarks like Sports Hub, Sheares Bridge, and even the Singapore Flyer.
The water was calm for rowing. Rowing a kayak was a great way to take in Singapore’s unique landscape and exercise too!

Lobster Pasta 🦞 hidden in Clark Quay
Lobster Pasta 🦞 8/10📍RVLT, Singapore #foeifyinsg
✏️ RVLT is a wine bar 🍷 located in Clarke Quay area🚢. This gorgeous looking dish is comprised of hand-cut pasta, confit lobster tail and RVLT’s XO.
The star of this dish would definitely be a lobster🌟. It was so fresh, juicy and perfectly poached🥰. Their sauce was rich and contain strong lobster bisque flavors🦞. The flakes on top also added extra textures and having it all together in one bite just 👌🏻.
