Visit a power spot on a Kyushu road trip 🚗 Mizonokuchi Cave is said to have been created over thousands of years by erosion from spring water in the Kirishima mountain range. It's a massive cavern, measuring 14.6 meters wide at the entrance, 6.4 meters high, and 209.5 meters long. 📝 It's a little warm and pleasant to enter in winter. ✨ There's a torii gate at the entrance, and the view from inside the cave is truly magical. 🥺 It's relatively easy to access, but the road narrows as you get closer, so drive carefully. ⚠️ ⁡ 📍 4907 Shimozaibe, Zaibe-cho, Soo City, Kagoshima Prefecture 🅿️ Parking available 💰 Free

This trip was completely funded. We left at 8am and arrived on the highway in about 4 hours. Mizonokuchi Cave (溝ノ口洞穴) Hidden cave spot in Kagoshima with a torii gate inside the cave. Very peaceful and mysterious vibe, feels like entering another world. Best time to visit is morning or afternoon when sunlight shines into the cave entrance. Road is quite rural, easier if driving. I wonder where else I can see this view, and if the dead end has come recently, so I head back... 　　If you look at the torii gate at the back of the cave, it looks like this photo. 　　Flashlights are provided at the cave entrance, but the smell is quite strong, so I recommend bringing disinfectant wipes. 　　This is probably due to the bats. 　　Also, the road is very narrow, so please drive carefully. 　　 #KagoshimaTrip
