Even if you’ve seen many temples before, Ostrog leaves a completely different impression. Located near Danilovgrad on the way from Niksic to Podgorica is easy accesible. Tip: bring water and make sure your shoulders are covered as it is an active monastery and clothing rules are taken seriously. How to get there? There is no public transport. The only way to go there is a taxi. The price from Podgorica may vary and depends on your negotiation skills, but anyway round trip will cost you around 40-60 euro. Tip: if you are heading Podgorica from Bosnia and Hercegovina (Trebinje) you can visit Ostrog on the way. If you’re traveling around Montenegro, make sure Ostrog is on your route.
