Osaka Hotel|W Osaka·The first W hotel in Japan
|W Osaka·The first W hotel in Japan. The first W hotel in Japan, W Osaka, designed by Tadao Ando, is a black hotel building with a huge W.
Under the simple appearance hides a colorful interior space. The entrance to the hotel is a colorful tunnel inspired by traditional Japanese paper cutting and origami art.
The hotel is very well located in the Shinsaibashi shopping district, gathering flagship stores of major luxury brands. It is a 3-minute walk from the subway Shinsaibashi station and only a few minutes walk to Parco and Daimaru.
It's about 10 minutes to Dotonbori and Takashimaya. You can eat, drink, play and shop as soon as you go downstairs.
The Titanium card has been upgraded to the Marvelous Suite with an area of 40 square meters. The basic room in Japan is already considered large. The 80 square meter Marvelous Suite is really luxurious. It has a living room, two bathrooms and an independent cloakroom. The floor-to-ceiling windows of the living room and bedroom are facing the Shinsaibashi shopping district.
The hotel front desk check-in and lobby bar are on the third floor. The bright and well-lit lobby bar during the day.
At night, it seamlessly switches to a neon nightclub style bar. In the evening, when you have nothing to do, you can go downstairs and have a sip of Japanese Gin, produced by Kyoto Distillery.
Made from gyokuro tea, matcha, yuzu and other ingredients, as soon as you enter the hotel, you will be attracted by a colorful tunnel. The design inspiration comes from traditional paper cutting and origami art. Crossing here, you enter the W time.
This stay was in a basic room of 2500+ with an additional suite coupon, and I got a "Marvelous Suite" on the 10th floor of the hotel. It is a corner suite. Living in a room of 80+ square meters in Osaka is really a luxurious feeling.
The bedroom has floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides where you can enjoy the city view of Shinsaibashi. The room presents a traditional Japanese inn style during the day, and at night it can transform into a neon light atmosphere. The two-use light mirror in the bedroom is a surprise.
Another surprising highlight is the wardrobe and wallpaper designed by the pixel art group eBoy. It depicts various landmarks and foods in Osaka using anime pixel techniques. The room also has many design art exhibits on display, and the soft outfit display is also full of creativity.
If you can get a room above the 10th floor, you can enjoy the city night view while taking a bath. I really love the all-black bathrobe/slippers/toothpaste/mouthwash.
However, the service is slightly different from the room price. I checked in at 17:50, and the room was not cleaned yet. They actually asked me to go out for dinner and come back to get the room card. After my repeated requests to change the room, they urged the cleaning. And because I used a room coupon, there was no breakfast and welcome gift, which was a bit disappointing.
Overall, WOSAKA is a hotel full of design sense. Although there are some dissatisfactions, it wins in convenient location. The shopping and food experience in Shinsaibashi met my needs for this trip.
"Black Experience" | W Hotel in Osaka, Japan is part of Marriott
| W Hotel in Osaka, Japan is part of Marriott. It positions itself as "Lifestyle" rooted in the bold and fearless attitude of New York City and the vibrant energy that surges every moment, W Hotel subverts inherent cognition and challenges the definition of traditional luxury at every destination.
■ Osaka, Japan has finally welcomed the opening of its first W Hotel.
The designer of this W Hotel is none other than the maverick architect Tadao Ando. This new hotel, named "W Osaka", is located in the bustling heart of Osaka (Tadao Ando's hometown), Shinsaibashi. It continues Tadao Ando's consistent style, looking like a square black glass box on the surface, ascetic and high-end.
When night falls, the entrance of the black building has different colors. To enter the hotel, you first need to step into a gorgeous tunnel surrounded by neon lights. Compared to the minimalist ascetic style outside, the interior is more like a "colorful world."
This W Osaka hotel has 337 rooms, with 7 types of rooms, and each room has a different design style. From the rooms, you can take in the beautiful city view of Osaka through the glass.
Inside the W Osaka hotel, there are also 4 restaurants and 2 bars for dining and entertainment, the most surprising of which is a pool that looks like a bar, which is unforgettable.
The Osaka W Hotel has been asked a lot
🏨Osaka W Hotel (W Osakal) is conveniently located on the main street connecting the center of Osaka from north to south, Midosuji. The world luxury brand street Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori food street are within walking distance.

·Osaka·W Hotel
The Osaka W Hotel, designed by the world-renowned architect Tadao Ando, is captivating with its massive black exterior. The overall design concept of the hotel is full of fun, hiding colorful interior decorations under the minimalist exterior design, which is a tribute to the Edo period.
The Osaka W Hotel, which opened on March 16, 2021, was designed by the local architectural team Nikken and Tadao Ando, and invited the Dutch design firm Concrete to preside over the interior space. In the confluence of Eastern and Western cultures, a new image of the W Hotel is created. The 27-story building stands on the bustling streets of the city, and the building facade designed by Ando is as dark and reflective as a giant stone, presenting a cold that keeps people away, but no one thought that the hotel's heart would be so brilliant and unrestrained.
Osaka has always had many labels such as "City of Water" and "Romantic Sakura City". At the entrance of the hotel, it points out its identity to the guests. The pink tunnel is composed of more than 3,000 laser-cut circles, like a boulevard composed of cherry blossom trees in spring, leading tourists to an abstract Osaka world.
The hotel's 337 rooms and suites, under the careful planning of the designer, cleverly built 2 'faces' that can freely switch between day and night for the rooms. The simple beauty of circles, points, and spheres in space. The circular art drawn in one stroke, and the polka dot pattern obsessed by the avant-garde contemporary artist Yavoi Kusama, are all sources of design inspiration. The circular oversized bathtub made of metal material stirs the neon lights in the space together, facing the skyline outlined by modern city buildings.

W Hotel Osaka: The location is very good
The W Hotel on Osaka's Midosuji Avenue is a 27-story landmark building designed by famous Japanese architect Nikken Sekkei and is also the first W Hotel in Japan. Although it looks simple, the interior is another scene, full of luxury and refinement.
This W Hotel is located in the center of Osaka, the surrounding environment is very prosperous, but its design inspiration comes from various aspects of the city, showing the unique cultural style of Osaka. Here, I stayed in a suite for two nights, enjoyed the room status upgrade and daily double breakfast, as well as a $100 hotel consumption deduction and the benefits of early check-in and late check-out depending on room status.
The entrance of the hotel is a gorgeous tunnel, inspired by traditional Japanese paper cutting and origami art, very beautiful. Walking out of the tunnel, you will see the lobby, the simple and stylish design well shows the positioning of W Hotel "not to cater to the trend, but to create the trend".
The hotel also has two Japanese restaurants, two Western restaurants, two bars and a pool bar, offering a wide range of dining options. I tried Teppanyaki MYDO and Sushi UKIYO, the taste is very good, and the W Hotel's iconic Living Room and MIXUP are even more memorable.
W Hotel is a very worthwhile hotel to stay in, whether it is business travel or leisure tourism, it can meet the needs of different guests.
