The North Portico in the first photo is where you could get the closest to the building without actually entering the grounds. So do not carry bulky items with you and you can pass through the security checks easily. We took about 40 minutes to stroll over and enjoying the lush greenery views along the way. The White House is a great view to admire from far, knowing that the world’s major decisions are made here. In my memory, the white building on the garden roof is the White House, because every time this building appeared on TV, it was mentioned as the White House.
