🇯🇵🏰 Osaka Castle 🏰🇯🇵
#timetotravel
The main tower of Osaka Castle is situated on a plot of land roughly one square kilometre. It is built on two raised platforms of landfill supported by sheer walls of cut rock, using a technique called burdock piling, each overlooking a moat. The central castle building is five stories on the outside and eight stories on the inside, and built atop a tall stone foundation to protect its occupants from attackers.

Osaka Castle: A Journey Through History and Beauty

# My Visit to the
Hello, everyone! I'm so excited to share with you my experience of visiting one of the most iconic landmarks in Japan: the Osaka Castle. It was one of the highlights of my trip to Osaka, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves history, culture, and architecture.
The Osaka Castle is a symbol of the city's resilience and glory. It was built in the 16th century by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of the most influential warlords in Japanese history. He unified Japan under his rule and dreamed of building a magnificent castle that would showcase his power and wealth.
The castle is surrounded by a moat and a stone wall, and it stands on a hill that offers a panoramic view of the city. The main tower has eight floors, each with different exhibits and displays that tell the story of the castle and its historical figures. You can see weapons, armors, paintings, documents, models, and more. There is also an observation deck on the top floor, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Osaka.
One of the most impressive features of the castle is its golden ornaments. You can see golden dolphins, tigers, cranes, and phoenixes on the roof and walls of the tower.
I had a wonderful time visiting the Osaka Castle. It was an amazing opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Japan, and to admire the beauty and craftsmanship of the castle. It was definitely one of the best experiences I had in Osaka, and I hope you will have a chance to visit it too.
Thank you for reading my blog post. If you liked it, please leave a comment below and share it with your friends. Stay tuned for more posts about my travels in Japan
Osaka Castle in Spring
Osaka castle is difinitely main tourist attraction in Osaka. Currently, this castle is used as a modern museum that tells story about Toyotomi Hideyoshi's journey. It's located in west of Osaka. It has 8 floor and I recommend you to go to level 8. You can see Osaka city from up there. Entrance fee is about 600 Yen, but if you had Osaka Amazing Pass, just show it to the ticket counter and you'll pay nothing. In early of April, when the sakura blooms, a lot of locals will gather here and hanami under the sakura tree. There are 600 sakura tree in Osaka Castle, just imagine how beautiful it is if you come in Spring. If you want to visit Osaka Castle, better to come early as the weather is nicer in the morning and less crowded. You can also feel the experience of becoming a Japanese soldier by renting japanese war costume for some extra fee.

Osaka Castle and Dotonbori
One of the iconic and historical place in Kansai area is Osaka Castle. Osaka castle (大阪城), pronounced as Ōsakajō was built around 1583 for Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the then de-facto ruler of Japan.
Osaka Castle is easily accessible from the JR Osakajokoen Station. Ticket price for adult is 600 yen, children below the age of 15 can enter free of charge. Additional ticket for Nishinomaru Garden is 200 yen. The castle park is free of charge.
Another iconic area for snacker like me is Dotonbori where we can find the Glicoman big screen and the store selling giant version of various Japanese made Pocky. It's located close to JR Namba Station (Yamatoji line), a five-minute walk from station.

Calming Osaka Castle

It would be best to visit this castle in the morning around 11AM to get the best view.

Japanese castle museum
A popular tourist attraction in Osaka, this castle museum houses many artefacts original to the place as well as some other educational material to illustrate this castle’s significant history. We had to queue a long time to even enter the castle but at least the weather was cool. Also, remember to dress comfortably as there are many winding steps to climb or else queue forever to take the lift.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Osaka Japan
#celebratewithtrip
if you are going to Osaka Japan you can consider staying here for about 2-3 nights. some places you can consider to visit would be the famous dotonburi. over here there is an ichiran ramen shop which I suggest you try as the ramen is really good but please be patient as there will be a long queue and you will need to wait. but turnaround time is quite fast so not to worry about that. visiting shinsekai should also be on your list as the night neon lights make everything quite pretty hence it is good for pictures. I also visited the Osaka castle. the structure is nice and you can take many beautiful pictures here.

Osaka castle is a must visit if you ever have the chance or opportunity to go to Japan, Osaka. Osaka is a really nice place and the food here is really good. but one of my favorite attractions here is probably the Osaka castle because there structure of the building is just so pretty and mesmerizing. you can spend so much time taking pictures outside of the building as the architecture is just too amazing. in addition it is very easy and accessible to reach here just by the trains so would definitely suggest visiting here if you have the time. it is a must visit especially for tourists!
3 favourite things in Japan
Japan never ceases to amaze in terms of food and culture. 3 of my favourite things are - 2 attractions (Osaka Castle & Kiyomizudera) and 1 food (Ichiran Ramen!!!) Can’t wait to explore Japan in further detail! #osaka #kyoto #osakacastle #kiyomizudera #ichiran
The construction of Osaka Castle (大阪城, Ōsakajō) started in 1583 on the former site of the Ishiyama Honganji Temple, which had been destroyed by Oda Nobunaga thirteen years earlier.
Toyotomi Hideyoshi intended the castle to become the center of a new, unified Japan under Toyotomi rule. It was the largest castle at the time.
However, a few years after Hideyoshi's death, Tokugawa troops attacked and destroyed the castle and terminated the Toyotomi lineage in 1615. Osaka Castle was rebuilt by Tokugawa Hidetada in the 1620s, but its main castle tower was struck by lightening in 1665 and burnt down.
It was not until 1931 that the present ferro-concrete reconstruction of the castle tower was built. During the war it miraculously survived the city-wide air raids. Major repair works gave the castle new glamor in 1997. The castle tower is now entirely modern on the inside and even features an elevator for easier accessibility. It houses an informative museum about the castle's history and Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
Osaka Castle
Osaka castle is one of Japan's most famous landmarks, built-in 1583. The castle is situated on a plot of land, surrounded by the citadel, gates, turrets, and stone walls.
The design of this castle is very impressive, it's a pretty building, famous for its well built stone wall.
The castle has eight stories of museums and exhibitions inside the building and five stories outside. One of the main key highlights is the history of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the Samurai Warlord who built the Osaka Castle.
From the castle, I can see the surrounding of the castle, the beautiful park, and the city view of highrise buildings of Osaka City.
Open from 9 am to 55 pm with an admission fee.
How to get here: Best is to enter through Otemon Gate, closest station is Tanimachi Yonchome station or Osakajokoen station if you take the JR line.

The Beautiful Osaka Castle
Built in 1586 by famous Japanese warrior and politician Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Osaka Castle (Ōsaka-jō) was at the time the largest and most important fortress in the country. Although destroyed and rebuilt a number of times since, the present structure, built in 1931, remains true to the original.
Highlights of a visit include the huge five-story, 42-meter-tall main tower. Built on an imposing 14-meter-tall stone base, the tower is home to a number of displays detailing the history of the castle and the city. Be sure to visit the top floor for its superb views over Osaka, an especially attractive sight as the sun sets.
Also of interest in Osaka Castle Park is the Hokoku Shrine, while Osaka's best-known temple, Shitennō-ji, is also worth visiting and dates back to AD 59. Notable as Japan's first Buddhist temple, this lovely shrine features a five-story pagoda along with a number of other exquisitely decorated buildings. Among them are the Golden Pavilion (Kondō), with its fine statues and paintings; the Lecture Hall (Kōdō); and a lovely covered corridor linking three of the site's gates.

Osaka Castle Vibes!, Japan
Osaka Castle (大阪城, Ōsakajō) is one of Japan’s most popular tourist attractions, with millions of people visiting the iconic landmark each year, particularly during cherry blossom season when there are special hanami parties and night illuminations. I’ve had the chance to visit both during sakura season and regular times of year, and will share some of my thoughts and tips for Osaka Castle in this post.
Construction of Osaka Castle began in 1583 on the site where Ishiyama Honganji Temple had been destroyed. Toyotomi Hideyoshi intended for Osaka Castle to become the center of a new, unified Japan under Toyotomi rule.
Once completed, Osaka Castle was the largest castle in Japan. After Hideyoshi’s death, Osaka Castle was destroyed. It was subsequently rebuilt in the 1620s, only to be struck by lightning and burnt down in 1665. Today’s Osaka Castle is a reconstruction that was built in 1931, and it highly modernized on the inside.
During our first experience with Osaka Castle, I was taken aback and even a bit disappointed by this. Having since visited Nijo Castle and Himeji Castle, I no longer feel that way. In fact, after visiting more preserved historical points of interest in Japan, I have a greater appreciation for the change of pace that Osaka Castle offers.
If Osaka Castle were the only castle in Japan I visited on a once-in-a-lifetime trip, I’d probably be disappointed. Once you go inside, it loses the aura of authenticity, and feels like a reproduction. However, if you visit either Nijo or Himeji Castles (both of which are in this general region), Osaka Castle can be viewed as more of a complementary experience. What those castles lack in expository information and displays due to their more historical character, Osaka Castle makes up for. There’s a wealth of information on display in its multi-level galleries, and it offers some interesting insight into Japanese history.
When viewed as a “hybrid museum” housed inside of beautiful architecture, I think it’s quite easy to have a very favorable opinion of Osaka Castle.

Osaka Castle is a must see attraction while visiting Osaka. It’s unbelievable that they have this big nature area in the middle of a big city. Beautiful parks and the castle is surrounded by water. When you visit the castle you will get a overview of a rich and intriguing history of Osaka. You can also climb up to the top of the castle and watch the Osaka city views from over there.
Night walk in Osaka near the Osaka Castle, Japan is so safe, you rarely feel like a walk at night would not be safe.. The castle was built in the 16th century. It is free to get into the Castle Park, but cost 600yen to go inside the castle. #historicallandmarks #happynewyear

Osaka Castle has a very long history. It was built in 1586 and is made of majestic stone walls. In the center of Osaka Castle Park, the main building of Osaka Castle towers, which is very spectacular. ❣️
Ascending the five-story Tenshukaku, you can look around the entire city of Osaka. 👀
Osaka Castle Park attracts tourists from all over the world due to the castle tower, and many tourists come to play on weekends or holidays.

Osaka castle is a must place to visit in Osaka, Japan. Even though it was a top tourist attraction, it wasn’t so busy at that time. So many photo shoot spots you can find there beside the castle itself. it’s a sacred place so don’t do anything that’s impolite. it was a nice, sunny, bright, cold day when i visited Osaka Castle. strolling around there was also my favorite thing to do there.
