The charm of Mount Huang is immeasurable, and one cannot truly appreciate it just by reading textbooks; it must be experienced in person
⛰ In your lifetime, climbing Mount Huang should be approached with caution. The saying 'Having seen the Five Great Mountains, one need not see any other mountains; having seen Mount Huang, one need not see the Five Great Mountains' speaks of Mount Huang in Anhui. After climbing it, you will truly understand the meaning of this phrase. In terms of scenery, Mount Huang is unrivaled.
🚠 Mount Huang tickets can be purchased in advance on this platform, with adult tickets priced at 190 yuan per person. The entrance time is from 6:10 to 17:00. There are three cable car routes, and no matter which you choose, you can complete the climb of the entire Mount Huang. Cable car tickets are 90 yuan per adult. There are also shuttle buses, with tickets costing 19 yuan per person, which can take you directly from the main gate to the cable car station. This platform also offers various combination packages of cable car, shuttle bus, and entrance tickets, which you can purchase according to your actual situation.
🧗🏻♂️ Taking the shuttle bus to Ci Guang Pavilion, there are two routes: one is to climb directly, and by continuing to climb, you can reach the peak of Tian Du. Alternatively, you can take the Yu Ping cable car up the mountain. Queues may be long during holidays, but it's really fast to get up the mountain, reaching an altitude of 700 meters in no time. The view from the cable car is very beautiful, and it is recommended for those who are not physically strong to not overexert themselves and take the cable car instead.
🌲 After descending from the cable car, you must visit the Welcoming Guests Pine. If you are interested in climbing, you can challenge Tian Du Peak, but it is far away and at a high altitude, so it is not recommended to try it rashly without the physical strength.
🌱 After descending from Tian Du Peak, you can head to Yu Ping Pavilion, passing by the Welcoming Guests Pine. At Yu Ping Pavilion, the two routes converge.
🏞 The Lotus Peak is now closed, so we will not consider it. Follow the direction signs directly to Guang Ming Summit, which is the place where the six major sects besieged in the past. It is the second highest peak of Mount Huang after Lotus Peak. If you don't have the physical strength, it is not recommended to challenge Tian Du Peak this time; you can come back next time. Mount Huang cannot be fully explored in one day, so don't overeat and find yourself unable to descend.
🗿 On the way from Guang Ming Summit to Dan Xia Peak is Guang Ming Summit, but you don't need to climb Dan Xia Peak. Before reaching Pai Yun Pavilion, you will see the legendary Flying Rock.
⛺️ Continue from Pai Yun Pavilion to Monkey Gazing at the Sea and Dream Pen Producing Flowers. Monkey Gazing at the Sea is an excellent spot to view the sea of clouds. Dream Pen Producing Flowers is said to be where the immortal poet Li Bai visited Mount Huang and left behind his pen, creating its marvelous scenery. Do not miss it.
🏕 Due to time and safety concerns, it may not be possible to enjoy the sunset, sunrise, or sea of clouds at Guang Ming Summit. Don't worry, go to Shi Xin Peak, which is closer to the Yun Gu cable car and mountain hotels, making it the best spot for many tourists to watch the sunset and sunrise.
🚡 After watching the sunset, you can take the cable car down to Yun Gu Temple. However, Yun Gu Temple has long been demolished and now rebuilt as Yun Gu Villa, which has Huizhou architectural style. If interested, you can visit it along the way.
🏨 After such a day, you will have completed your tour of Mount Huang. If you still have energy or desire to explore more, you can stay in a hotel on the mountain and wait to watch the sunrise.
🗻 We have just discussed the steps for entering and exiting Mount Huang through the south gate. If you have ample time, you can head towards the north gate. Bai E Ridge, Guan Shi Pavilion, and other must-see attractions can make up for what you missed. The three wonders of Mount Huang—strange pines, peculiar rocks, and the sea of clouds—can be seen again in these sceneries. Afterwards, we can challenge Dan Xia Peak, which has its own unique landscape and is very beautiful.
📷 After descending from Dan Xia Peak, you can go to Xi Hai Viewing Cloud Pavilion. The sea of clouds is at waist level here, making it an excellent position to enjoy the sea of clouds. Return to Guang Ming Summit and descend to Bai Yun Hotel, where there are two routes down the mountain. One is to the small train station, with adult tickets priced at 100 yuan per person, which can take you directly to the valley by train. Alternatively, you can descend to San Xi Bridge via Bu Xian Bridge, where the Stone Man Peak has peculiarly shaped rocks. However, you need to descend to San Xi Bridge to climb up. Finally, you will descend to the west gate.
⌛️ The human body has its limits, and choosing one path means giving up another. However, Mount Huang guarantees that whichever path you choose will be the best. Trust me, after climbing Mount Huang for the first time, you will want to climb it a second and third time. The gates of Mount Huang are always open for you.
🌅 The best spots to watch the sunrise: Guang Ming Summit, Shi Xin Peak, Bai E Ridge, Monkey Gazing at the Sea, Welcoming Guests Pine, Dan Xia Peak.
🌇 The best spots to watch the sunset: Guang Ming Summit, Shi Xin Peak, Dan Xia Peak, Qun Feng Top, Fei Lai Peak, Ao Yu Peak, Lotus Pavilion, Bai E Ridge.
💌 A simplified map of Mount Huang is also provided for you, so plan well for your first visit. 🥰

Huangshan trip with three generations of my family (Part 2).
Guangming Peak sunrise - Guangming Peak - Meteorological Station - Flying Stone - Ao Fish Peak - One Line Sky - Welcoming Pine (in case of heavy rain)
We chose to go up the mountain from the back and down from the front. We took the cable car both ways and visited the West Sea Grand Canyon (we walked down and took the train back up, highly recommended). We stayed at the Baiyun Hotel for one night. My 76-year-old parents were able to walk down. I think the itinerary was quite reasonable. There were fewer people on the back mountain than the front mountain (especially tour groups). Monday should be the least crowded day of the week. The biggest challenge was the weather, which was changeable. Raincoats and shoe covers are a must.

If you go to Huangshan, I highly recommend this hotel in a Huizhou-style garden
If you go to Huangshan, I highly recommend this hotel in a Huizhou-style garden. There are many hotels and inns in Huangshan, but honestly, the quality varies greatly.
During this trip to southern Anhui, I stayed in many inns and hotels, but there are not many I would really recommend. One of them is Shilili Weiyan Mansion.
It has both cost-effectiveness (only four to five hundred yuan) and cultural heritage, convenient transportation (only a ten-minute drive from the high-speed rail station), and the quality is acceptable.
Hotel: Shilili Weiyan Mansion
Address: No. 75, Xibian Street, Xixinan Town, Huizhou District, Huangshan City
About the hotel
Weiyan Mansion is the childhood home of Zhu Zhishan, one of the four great talents of Jiangnan, so it is full of cultural heritage. There are twelve Huizhou-style buildings standing by the river, many of which have been restored to their original state.
The hotel is located in the ancient village of Xixinan, once the wealthiest village in Huizhou, which has not been overdeveloped due to being long hidden by the Fengyang forest.
Next to the hotel is the Fengle River, which blends almost perfectly into the village.
Public area
The hotel's public area is very photogenic.
'The boat travels on the green waves, and people are in the painting,' this ancient poem perfectly describes the hotel.
Pavilions, terraces, small bridges, and flowing water, every step is a scene, capturing the gentle beauty of Jiangnan.

Conquered the mighty Huangshan with just a pinch🫳(One-day tour of Huangshan)
Day1-🚄 Arrived at Huangshan North by high-speed train on Friday night, contacted the homestay owner in advance to help us book a carpool to the homestay. The owner was nice and gave us a map of Huangshan, explained the routes, and sent us a strategy guide👍🏻
Day2- Left around 5:50 in the morning, walked for about twenty minutes to Huangshan South Gate Transfer Center, ⚠️ chose the direction of the cable car we wanted to take (the front mountain is Yuping Cableway, the back mountain is Yungu Cableway) and then took the bus🚌(19 yuan, we bought the tickets in advance) to go up the mountain to take the cable car.
We went up the front mountain and down the back mountain because we were worried that the weather might get foggy in the afternoon, and the scenery on the front mountain would be better, so we enjoyed the scenery of the front mountain🥹🥹 Started hiking around 7:10🧗
Route: Welcoming Pine➡️Lotus Pavilion➡️Aoyu Cave➡️Aoyu Peak➡️Haixin Pavilion➡️
Baiyun Hotel➡️Guangming Summit (rested for a while, replenished energy!) Feilai Stone➡️Paiyun Pavilion (there are quite a few monkeys🐒 here)➡️West Sea Grand Canyon (we walked just about one outer loop and then returned, did not go down to the valley bottom, it's quite tiring on the feet🦶)➡️Paiyunlou Hotel (had some bread and milk we brought)➡️Xihai Hotel➡️Monkey Watching the Sea (this stretch was also quite long)➡️Beihai Hotel➡️Wonderful Pen Producing Flowers➡️Black Tiger Pine
At 14:00 we took the Yungu Cableway down the mountain, then transferred to a bus🚌 to Huangshan North to take the high-speed train home (the bus can be taken directly to Huangshan North High-speed Train Station).
Although my legs were in pain, I was very happy! Along the way, I was constantly amazed by the scenery of Huangshan, and I also saw the sea of clouds which was very charming🥹🥹, and I enjoyed the joy of hiking!!🤣

After a five-year wait, the Celestial Capital Peak of Mount Huangshan has finally reopened!
The long-awaited reopening of Celestial Capital Peak brings the treasures of Mount Huangshan back in front of visitors once again. Experience the healing power of nature and explore the distinct charms of Celestial Capital Peak and Lotus Peak!
🎟️ **Ticket Purchase Guide**:
- Reserve and purchase tickets on the official Huangshan tourism platform, with ticket prices at 190 yuan, Cloud Valley cable car at 80 yuan, Yuping cable car at 90 yuan, and the total cost including round-trip cable car fees at 360 yuan.
🌿 **Main Peaks Open in Rotation**:
- For ecological protection and to avoid excessive consumption of scenic resources, Huangshan implements a policy of resting one peak every five years, rotating between Lotus Peak and Celestial Capital Peak.
🏞️ **Differences Between the Two Main Peaks**:
- **Lotus Peak**: The foremost of the 36 major peaks of Huangshan, with scenery that is poetic and picturesque, resembling a blooming lotus from afar and featuring rugged beauty up close.
- **Celestial Capital Peak**: Its unique and precipitous mountain terrain challenges the brave with the Hundred Steps Cloud Ladder, and the 'Reach the Pinnacle' inscription at the summit of Celestial Capital Peak marks its history and grandeur.
🛌 **Accommodation Recommendations**:
- **At the summit**: Choose hotels or B&Bs at the summit, such as Baiyun Hotel, Shilin Cliff House, or Shilin Hotel, and book in advance to ensure accommodation.
- **At the foot of the mountain**: You can also opt for hotels or B&Bs in Tangkou Town at the base of the mountain, which offer better value for money.
💣 **Pitfall Avoidance Tips**:
1. Pay attention to the weather conditions; the main peaks are not suitable for visits on rainy days.
2. Be aware of the cable car schedule to avoid having to walk down the mountain if you miss it.
3. Avoid purchasing local specialties from peddlers to prevent being deceived.
4. Prepare comfortable sports shoes and a hiking stick to ensure a smooth journey.
5. Safety first, do not walk while viewing the scenery, and vice versa, pay attention to safety issues.

TIFFANY MYERS
Hiking to Lotus Peak
Huangshan two-day one-night full hiking journey.
Is Lotus Peak worth visiting? It's the last month before Lotus Peak closes, and it won't open again for another 5 years. If you go up after 8 am, you'll queue for 3-4 hours. I want to say, if the weather is bad that day, I suggest skipping it. If you do want to go, I recommend getting up early. We arrived at the entrance of Lotus Pavilion at Lotus Peak at 6 am, climbed over the gate, and found the summit already occupied by college students and special forces. Whether you stay in a mountain hotel or camp out, you should start from the Bright Summit area at least by 4:30 am.
There are two entrances to Lotus Peak, one is from the direction of Welcoming Guests Pine, and the other is from Lotus Pavilion. The highest checkpoint is also at these two entrances, but people generally ascend from Welcoming Guests Pine and descend towards Lotus Pavilion. When we were queuing, the ascending entrance was right where the tourists from Welcoming Guests Pine were coming up, causing many people who came up from Lotus Pavilion to keep queuing and arguing. So, if you don't want to waste time, it's better to go early.
I've been to Huangshan four times, and this time I walked the entire West Sea Grand Canyon, only to find that the most beautiful part of Huangshan is in the West Sea. Due to the long distance, significant altitude drops and climbs, few people walk it, but I still recommend that anyone who comes to Huangshan must walk the West Sea. You can quickly visit other places the day before, and leave time to slowly hike the West Sea the next day.
Rough itinerary record: On the first day, start at 9 am from the direction of Yungu Temple, stay overnight at Bai'e Mountain Villa at 7 pm. On the second day, start at 5 am, pass Bright Summit to check in at Lotus Peak first (there's a huge queue, if you don't want to waste three to four hours, it's advised to start before 4:30 am). After coming down, return to Bright Summit and take the north entrance of the West Sea Grand Canyon, a big loop back to Baiyun Hotel, then descend from Welcoming Guests Pine to Ciguang Pavilion, a total of 32km of hiking.
|23-year-old end-of-year snow wish.Return from the Five Mountains without looking at the mountains, return from Huangshan without looking at the mountains. Taking advantage of the end of 23 years old, I can finally go to climb the long-awaited mountain peak! It is said to be very leg-consuming, and the result is indeed lying for three days haha. After climbing, you must soak your feet + stretch.
Huangshan Route Planning
I strongly recommend that sports wastes like me take the cable car up the mountain. Because the Yuping cable car was overhauled and I particularly wanted to see the Welcoming Pine, our route was: Huangshan South Gate→Mountain Bus
(20min)→Yungu Cableway Upward (12min)→Black Tiger Pine→Beihai Hotel→Flying Stone→Bright Top→Baiyun Hotel→Ao Fish Peak→A Line Sky→Hundred Steps Cloud Ladder→Welcoming Pine→Ciguang Pavilion→Downhill Bus→Huangshan South Gate
Huangshan Time Planning
We arrived at the Vienna Hotel near the South Gate of Huangshan the night before, without special forces, set off at 9:30 in the morning, and arrived at the South Gate at 10:00. 10:00-11:00 Bus cableway up the mountain, 11:00-13:00 Arrive at Bright Top, 14:00-15:30 From Bright Top all the way down the mountain to Welcoming Pine, 15:30-17:30 Walk down the mountain to Ciguang Pavilion.
Equipment to bring
👔Recommend short assault clothes and down jackets, preferably lighter. I am a cold-resistant player, I chose Bosideng goose down, not cold at all, and not very hot when climbing.
🕶️Sunglasses must be worn, the snow scene is very dazzling under the sun. And it's cool to take pictures haha.
🧤Cashmere, waterproof, non-slip gloves must be carried, it is best to have mobile phone touch screen function. There are 5 yuan a pair of wool gloves at the foot of the mountain, which are very useful, but they are not non-slip and not good for grabbing railings. The scarf can be worn shorter. The hat must be thick, wool, cashmere, ordinary wool can be, especially freezing head. Socks can consider sports elastic socks, do not wear thick velvet, do not absorb sweat, and if the weather is too cold and the feet sweat, the socks will be very cold.
🥿Hiking shoes or snow boots, but it is best to have studs on the shoes. I strongly recommend buying two good quality ice claws at the foot of the mountain, so you won't fall on the icy road downhill to see Grandpa.
🍚Self-heating rice + thermos cup + mineral water + Red Bull + small snacks are indispensable, carbohydrates and hot water can really replenish energy. Self-heating rice must add water by yourself, family! There are few hot water collection points set up on the road, and there are few places to buy water, which is not very convenient. There is lunch on the mountain but it is quite expensive, about 110 self-service meals.
🔋Power bank, family. Children who don't carry cameras up the mountain will always take out their phones to take pictures.
Some nagging: Remember to check the weather of Huangshan in advance, if there is fog, you may not see the sea of clouds. Be sure to act according to your own physical strength, it is not recommended to walk up the mountain from Ciguang Pavilion for sports wastes who do not exercise daily. The downhill road is icy, slippery and narrow, you must slow down.
The shock of Huangshan's scenery is indescribable. When the cable car breaks through the layers of fog, the sun and the blue sky are sprinkled into the arms, it is really a fairyland on earth. In the future seasons, I will go to Huangshan to watch the sunrise and sunset again.

Recommended 3-day tour route for Huangshan Winter Snow
❄ Huangshan in winter is like a fairy tale world, and Huangshan after snow is even more beautiful. So, how to deeply tour Huangshan in just three days? Follow my steps and start a winter romance! ✨

🕓Afternoon: After arriving in Huangshan City, first go to Flower Mountain World·Flower Mountain Mystery Cave. Not only does it have breathtaking natural landscapes, but also the super cool project 'Mystery Scene' waiting for you to challenge! It's like walking into a puzzle game, surprises at every step.
🕕Evening: After finishing the tour of Flower Mountain Mystery Cave, come to Tunxi Old Street. The night view here is simply beautiful, and there are various local snacks waiting for you to taste. Especially the Huangshan pastry and sweet and sour ribs, they are absolutely amazing! 🤤
Day 2: Ascend Huangshan, live in the clouds
🕖Morning: After breakfast, set off for Huangshan. Huangshan in winter is covered with white snow, just like an ink painting. This is the best time to watch the sunrise, you can choose to watch the sunrise at Danxia Peak, Cool Terrace, Dawn Pavilion, Lion Peak, etc., to welcome the spectacular view of the rising sun.
🕛Afternoon: Continue to explore the snow scene of Huangshan, whether it's strange pines and strange stones or sea of clouds and rime, they are all breathtakingly beautiful. Especially the 'colorful sea of clouds', it's simply nature's palette🎨. If you're lucky enough, you can also see the rime dressing Huangshan in white.
🌜Evenight: Stay at the Baiyun Hotel on the top of Huangshan. It seems to be a home in the clouds, watching the sunrise in the morning and the sea of clouds in the evening. Each room has a viewing balcony, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of Huangshan. The hotel also has Chinese and Western restaurants and conference rooms and other facilities to serve you.

with parents2023 trip No more Huangshan in the future
with parents2023 trip No more Huangshan in the future.
Before my mother's trip
She kept mumbling
Didn't fully appreciate the beauty of Huangshan in the past
This time I must go to Huangshan again
Then we decided to satisfy this itinerary
Arrange to go to Huangshan again
Made all kinds of strategies
Avoid the Spring Festival crowd in advance
Conclusion: Mother is determined: never come again
The beauty of Huangshan
Indeed beautiful
There are various levels of beauty under the sun
But because of excessive management
The so-called guide for tourists
Caused a must walk 10 kilometers between the front and back mountains
And in our tour of that world
Many shortcuts are closed
Turned into a must walk the hardest road
Traveling has become a toss
Tossing has become suffering
After the old father and mother took the cable car down the mountain
Their legs were shaking
My own legs are almost numb
Another aspect of perfect management
Is also too harsh
Turn the journey into a rigid rule
Always climbing
No time to see the scenery
Resources are scarce
Many people
The scarcity of tourism resources is too understandable
But the overly strict mountain road planning
Compared to the beautiful scenery of Huangshan in the past
This time there is more disappointment
Record is over
Back to Huangshan
The beauty of Huangshan
Especially in the early spring and the season of light snow
Indeed quite beautiful
Many restaurants at the foot of Huangshan have also closed down in the history of masks
But the remaining ones
Still full of color and fragrance
The small town is still beautiful

Attention, those who want to visit Huangshan
Tour duration: two days, with one night stay on the mountain. It is recommended to go from Monday to Friday, and avoid public holidays to avoid the crowd. If you only have one day, it is suggested to go up the mountain from the back and down from the front to avoid the crowd at the top. We went on a Thursday in September, there were not many tourists, and the weather was neither cold nor hot.
Route selection: Go up the mountain from the front before noon, watch the sunrise at Guangming Peak the next morning, walk through the West Sea Grand Canyon, return by small train, and leave the mountain from the back at noon. We chose to climb to the top in the afternoon, and there was hardly any queue.
Tour tips: 1, It is strongly recommended to stay overnight on the mountain, so as not to miss the sunset (Picture 3), sunrise (Picture 4, Picture 5), and the sun shining on the golden mountain (Picture 6).
2, If you are just visiting Huangshan, you can see the luggage storage cabinet (Picture 10) by turning right when you come out of the high-speed rail station. Store your excess luggage before climbing the mountain. If you want to visit other surrounding villages, it is recommended to arrange a tour of the ancient village before arranging to climb Huangshan, otherwise you will really regret it
3, The West Sea Grand Canyon is definitely worth a visit, but it is recommended to walk down and return by small train. If you do it the other way round, you must have a pair of super strong knees. You need to have both physical strength and time to walk back and forth.
4, It is recommended to choose a hotel with a buffet breakfast. After the exhaustion of the previous day and the upcoming pain, what a hard-core satisfying breakfast means is self-evident. If you think the price is high, just look at the porters on the mountain and you will understand (Picture 11)
