#tripaway First it was a fisherman’s village then it started to grow into a beach and eventually has become my beach since my birth in the city of Ovar a few decades ago. there are lots of meet up groups, surfing, boogie board, body surfing, paddle surfing, hiking, cycling by the ocean and large acres of eucalyptus trees that have such a great smell. as well Furadouro was and has been considered of Blue beaches meaning high in iodine, which is excellent for our body. there’s a beautiful hotel. great restaurants with such good prices. great place for a young couple. great for kids. lifeguards on duty. plus easy access from Furadouro to different parts of Portugal. 40 kms from the Porto Airport until Furadouro Beach.

#tripaway Furadouro Beach. great waves for new surfers. great cycling groups surfing and so much more. this beach Furadouro used to be just a fishing village. great food reasonably priced. less expensive obviously as it’s more of a local beach however as it has been growing there are tons of activities to do. This year due to the Covid19 there is lots of space to keep distancing from others. It definitely hasn’t stopped me from taking at least 2 dives in the ocean as it’s very cold but once in it. With a boogie board or surfing you start to warm up. Spent most of my summers here!!!
