Old Nessebar Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Nesebbar old city, 🇧🇬
Situated on a rocky peninsula on the Black Sea, the more than 3,000-year-old site of Nessebar was originally a Thracian settlement (Menebria). At the beginning of the 6th century BC, the city became a Greek colony. The city’s remains, which date mostly from the Hellenistic period, include the acropolis, a temple of Apollo, an agora and a wall from the Thracian fortifications. Among other monuments, the Stara Mitropolia Basilica and the fortress date from the Middle Ages, when this was one of the most important Byzantine towns on the west coast of the Black Sea. Wooden houses built in the 19th century are typical of the Black Sea architecture of the period. #wecreate

The Windmill in Nessebar, Bulgaria, is an architectural masterpiece that stands proudly in this ancient town, which is located on a small peninsula on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus, Nessebar is steeped in history, with over 3,000 years of continuous habitation. Sunset by the sea 💙 Nesebar, Bulgaria 🇧🇬
There is something incredibly romantic about watching the sunset by the sea. Here I have captured the sun setting over peaceful waters in my hometown - Nessebar, a pearl in the crown of the Black Sea.
If you have never been to Bulgaria and visited the old town of Nessebar - protected under UNESCO for its incredible history and architecture - then you need to change that. This Bulgarian seaside town has a lot to offer for anyone who loves good food, culture, history and the sea, of course.
My personal favourite part of town is the marina and walking down the isthmus connecting the new and old part - something which only happened by boat back in the day

The Black Sea & me in Nessebar, Bulgaria 🇧🇬
Admit it, when you are planning a trip in Europe, you would usually consider countries such as France, Spain, Italy or Germany. Maybe even Greece or Turkey. But what if I told you there is a hidden pearl in the crown of the Black Sea? This is 📍Nessebar, Bulgaria. A small town right on the Black Sea with mighty history and marks left by Romans, Byzantines and Turks... Oh, and don't get me started on the food, especially fresh seafood and good wine. Or the local rakia - a spirit made from grapes, plums or other fruit (not for the faint-hearted!). Let's leave the history and food for another post. For now, enjoy these magnificent sea views. ♥️

[Face travel] Seaside holiday cost-effective king Bulgaria Black Sea
want to spend the lowest price to go to the beach vacation? I really recommend the Black Sea in Bulgaria! From Varna, to Nesebar, Burgas, to Sozopol, all the seaside cities are super-high, even cheaper! The five-star hotel on the beach is less than 511 nights, and the hotel we stayed in... the two-room and one-bedroom are only two hundred and one nights, which is really terrible!
In these cities, I love Nesebar very much. The old town is a small island. Its beautiful everywhere, and there are all kinds of monuments. Its really a big shot!
Also highly recommended a treasure trove of Sozopol, a castle we found by mistake, not only free, but also very delicate and large, and there are many "holes" to explore, there are various medieval Restaurant, winery, really we all the way is not a stop! This castle is a few minutes drive from Sozopol, called: the Castle of Ravadinovo
