Hot Air Balloon Ride in Napa Valley

This had been on my bucket list for years and so glad to have finally gotten the opportunity to cross it off in the scenic Napa Valley. The hot air balloon ride is ideal for early morning risers who wish to experience a bird’s eye perspective of the scenic vineyards of Napa while listening to the pilot share about ballooning. The weather was great as well, but do remember to check out the weather reports beforehand if you are considering to go on the trip. The staff was also informative and friendly, make the trip a very enjoyable and smooth experience for us. I would rate this experience 5/5 overall. #naturalwonders #summervacation #givethanks

The winery is easily spotted on the main road while driving from San Francisco to Napa Valley. We were there during winter times, thus the vine yard was kind of empty. Would recommend to make a reservation beforehand to ensure smooth and seamless entry and for wine tasting. Lovely place for wine lovers and photo enthusiasts as the winery is like a fairytale came true. Love the lush greeneries surrounding, the tiny water fountain, the cobbled pebbles buildings. They also have a market where you can find delicacies, souvenirs and wines.

In order to produce the truly New World wine he envisioned, Mr. Hess built his winery on the volcanic slopes of Mount Veeder in Napa Valley and defined a new winemaking method. In 1983, wine produced under the name of The Hess Collection was officially released. Hess Select Winery uses organic farming methods to manage its vineyards and irrigates them with green organic fertilizers. In order to prevent diseases and other pests, the winery also takes preventive measures using pure natural substances or natural struggle methods. Wade Mountain's vineyards are planted on the remnants of ancient seabeds, which were pushed into the mountains by tectonic movements. These soils and steep slopes allow for free planting, providing the terroir environment that vine plants must struggle to survive in. This results in low-yield, highly concentrated grapes produced by the vines. However, this terrain - no matter how good it is for grapevines - makes planting and harvesting difficult, and only a small portion of Wade Mountain's total area is planted with grapevines.
