Millbrae travel guide and discussion

#outdooradventures #旅行酷体验 #旅行灵感 #海滩 If you have long layover in SFO airport, Millbrae bayfront walk can be unique things to do for fresh air, awesome Bayfront scenery view with seagulls and wetlands birds watching, aviation view to check out SFO planes ✈️ landing and departure activities🙂. It has a pathway along the Bay for walk, bike, scooter or run along here. It’s well occupied by visitors staying at the many nearby hotels. To get there, you can easily hope on to the bay area hotel free shuttle like Westin by Marriott Hotel, it is just 2 miles away from SFO airport.

The Grand Hyatt presents itself as a luxury hotel. Is it a nice property? Yes, absolutely. However, it doesn't live up to the standards of a true luxury experience. It feels more comparable to a solid 4-star Westin than a genuine 5-star luxury establishment. The level of amenities and services delivered is only slightly above what one might expect from a very good Hyatt Regency. This distinction matters because luxury isn't defined solely by an attractive building, pricey rooms, or a Club Lounge. It's about detailed service and genuine attention to guest needs, which is where this Grand Hyatt fails to deliver. For instance, there wasn't a bellman or doorman available to assist with luggage, nor did the front desk provide help. While the hotel caters mostly to guests arriving via airport trains, some visitors, like me, come by car. Upon entering the hotel and taking the elevator to the lobby, the layout was confusing, making it unclear how to locate the front desk. Additionally, the recognition of Globalist status felt minimal. I didn't receive a pre-arrival email, welcome letter at check-in, or an in-room amenity. There was no turndown service and no stocked minibar either. While none of these issues are major individually, their combined absence reinforces the sense that this is more of an upscale business hotel than a truly luxury property. The bathroom in my room also had noticeable mold or mildew in the walk-in shower. Meanwhile, the Club Lounge offered one of the more perplexing aspects of my stay. To reach the lounge, guests have to walk through a restaurant, which simply feels odd. Although the property's layout cannot be changed now, it seems poorly thought out during the hotel's design stage. The lounge food was average to above-average, but the honor bar was disappointing. If you're charging for wine, at least offer something better than the subpar Canvas wine. It might be acceptable if the wine were complimentary, but paying guests should find a higher-quality selection available. Adding to the lounge issues, some tables and chairs had mismatched heights, making them uncomfortable. Surprisingly, the lounge lacked regular staffing. A waiter from the restaurant occasionally came by, but there was no dedicated lounge attendant. For a Grand Hyatt aspiring to luxury status, proper lounge staffing is expected. Furthermore, the lounge could benefit from offering print newspapers and magazines — another small detail that matters at this tier. Despite these shortcomings, the Grand Hyatt isn't a bad hotel; far from it. It's a strong, upscale option and a great 4-star choice. But its problem lies in its positioning. If you're looking for a legitimate 5-star luxury experience with matching levels of service, amenities, and attention to detail, this isn’t it. Think of it more as an excellent Hyatt Regency or Westin rather than a true luxury property.

Unfortunately, the digital key card didn’t work and was simply replaced at the reception without an apology. The room was perfect, and the location near the airport was excellent. Highly recommended for an overnight stay.

-New England Lobster Market & Eatery- A popular seafood restaurant located near San Francisco Airport. This time, I visited as part of a tour and enjoyed a whole lobster. The restaurant has live tanks, allowing you to enjoy fresh lobsters and seafood. I visited around 5 PM, and it was bustling with customers, showing the lively atmosphere of a popular restaurant. The interior features art and decorations reminiscent of a port town, creating a seafood restaurant atmosphere. There are many photogenic spots, allowing you to enjoy the interior as well as the food. On sunny days, the terrace seating looked very pleasant. Its relatively easy accessibility from San Francisco Airport makes it a convenient restaurant for meals on arrival or departure days. 📍Address: 824 Cowan Rd, Burlingame, CA 94010 #America #USAtravel #SanFrancisco #Americanfood #USatourism

This is definitely the hotel to splurge on, especially if you're visiting from out of town. I can't praise it enough. Just the week before, I stayed at a 3-star Best Western near SFO, and by comparison, the Grand Hyatt feels like a 10-star experience. I was able to use Chase Sapphire Reserve points along with paying half on a credit card. In my opinion, the pricing was completely reasonable for the quality I received.

The convenience is unmatched: step off the AirTrain, and you’re there! The hotel is fairly new and modern. The bed is comfortable, and the design is both pleasant and practical (the night light feature was especially appreciated). While my pre-arrival request for a firm pillow wasn’t fulfilled, my request for a lighter comforter was. This will definitely be my go-to for some time.

Pretty

Our guide took us to a seafood restaurant where locals gather! We were originally looking for oysters and lobster, but we also tried some raw clams, which we heard were available. They were big, chewy, and delicious! I wonder if they offer this in Japan, so I might miss the taste. The other seafood was also very tasty. We also ordered a beer called Los Star Ale, although I couldn't really tell what was lobster in it. I liked the IPA we ordered next.
