Some of my personal favourites are the authentic Pineapple Tarts, refreshing Essence Lime with Liquorice, traditional Lao Qian White Coffee, crispy Lao Po Biscuits, and the classic Sakima. Just beside the square is the Queen Victoria Fountain, another popular photo spot. Although many visitors stop for a quick picture, I recommend slowing down and appreciating the details of the surrounding heritage buildings. This newly opened hotel, which has been operating for about five months, has quickly become one of my favourite hotels in Melaka. In fact, this was already my fourth stay here, which speaks volumes about my overall experience. The hotel located in a commercial area, with easy access to eateries, convenience stores, shopping areas, and many of Melaka's popular attractions. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, getting around is hassle-free. The room was spacious, clean, and comfy, with a modern and cozy design that made it easy to relax after a long day. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the overall cleanliness was impressive. Smart TV and good Wi-Fi is a plus. As a newly opened property, the facilities and furnishings still feel fresh and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the check-in and check-out process smooth and efficient. I also appreciated the peaceful environment, which allowed for a good night's rest despite being conveniently located near the town area. For travelers looking for a comfortable, affordable, and conveniently located hotel in Melaka, Kingston Hotel 17 is definitely worth considering. With its clean rooms, friendly service, and excellent value for money, it has become one of my prefer accommodation choices whenever I visit Melaka. It's not particularly delicious, but it's nice and offers a good view. 📍Kopi Harian A very popular tea house with long queues. The portions are very large, and the laksa and nasi lemak are good. They also have many unique bread flavors worth trying. 📍Lin Neo Delight A restaurant outside the tourist area. Surprisingly delicious, and the prices are okay. 📍Gui Lao Liang Cha (Ghostly Herbal Tea) A beautifully decorated bar. Suitable for having a few drinks with friends. 📍The Baboon House Probably one of the more popular spots. The ambiance is beautiful, but it gets a bit hot at lunchtime. I had Vietnamese coffee, which I thought was very good and fragrant. However, the other drinks my friend ordered were just so-so. The food selection seemed limited, so we only ordered a burger. Overall, a very good experience. 📍Peranakan Maison is a popular Nyonya restaurant. After trying many gelato shops, I can say that this was one of the best experiences I’ve had. From the moment we walked in, the owner welcomed us with a big smile and enthusiastically introduced the different gelato flavours. What stood out most was his passion for delivering the best experience to every customer. Besides the gelato, we also tried some of the pastries. The owner shared that he uses locally sourced cocoa instead of imported cocoa, and you can genuinely taste the difference. It was rich, flavourful, and absolutely delicious.
