These photos were taken in Valdez, Alaska Valdez in my heart It's really like a fairyland Although it rained continuously during the days I was there But I also saw the beautiful clouds and fog It also gave us the opportunity to slow down our journey And explore the biggest surprise this town has given us Having dinner with bears . As a large 'wildlife reserve', Alaska Seeing bears is definitely a unique experience The scene of seeing brown bears in Katmai national park last July is still vivid I didn't expect to see black bears catching salmon in Valdez in September this year What's different is that in July in Katmai Salmon are desperately swimming upstream from the sea back to their birth streams The brown bears have also been hungry for several months, so they eat a lot But in September, most of the salmon in the streams of Valdez have completed their mission (aka spawning) and are about to go to heaven, or they are the 'weak' ones who can't swim upstream And the bears have been eating a lot these months So you can clearly feel that the bears start to pick and choose Only eat those fish with high fat content We bought sandwiches and sat in the car by the side of the road Listening to the rain and having dinner with the bears In addition to seeing bears, you can also see many sea lions nearby Don't miss it~ . Bear viewing point 📍GPS (61.0847637, -146.2652175) There is a small parking lot next to it Sea lion viewing point 📍 The Solomon Gulch Hatchery Waterfall 📍Horsetail fall

#easytravelpost Kennecott is a National Historic Landmark town inside Wrangell-St. Elias NP (no entrance fee, no permit for day use). I drove McCarthy Road (95 km of former railroad grade, 2.5 hrs from Chitina, high-clearance only—the "road" eats sedans), parked at the Kennicott River footbridge ($5 shuttle across the river, cash), and walked 5 km to the old copper mill. The 14-story wood-frame concentrator building is moss-covered, rust-weeping, and the ranger tour ($15, 2026 rate) explains the 1900–1938 boom. Root Glacier trail starts behind the town: 3 km boardwalk then 2 km on glacial till to the ice. I donned microspikes (rented in McCarthy for $10), walked onto the glacier, and explored the blue moulins. No crampons needed mid-summer, but don't go past the marked roped area—crevasses open without warning. The mill's north wall grows a moss mat 10 cm thick in the rain shadow; I ate lunch on a rotting sill and watched a hoary marmot on the boiler house roof. Mistake: I drove McCarthy Road in a 2WD sedan in June and punctured on a railroad spike—rent a 4WD in Glennallen or bike the road. Another: I wore trail runners on the glacier and slipped on the wet ice; microspikes non-negotiable. Would you base in McCarthy for 2 nights (mill + Root Glacier + Bonanza Mine road), or day-trip from Glennallen and rush it?

From Hawaii🌴 to Alaska❄️ The temperature difference is just too thrilling!! Just before boarding the plane, I was still watching bikini beauties in Honolulu👙 The moment I landed, I started wearing a down jacket, hahaha ✨You really have to see Knik Glacier with your own eyes to understand how amazing it is Photos can't capture its full impact!! The crystal-clear blue glacier🏔️ Walking on it feels like filming a National Geographic documentary📸 (In reality, I was shivering from the cold) Anyone who loves nature Must come to Alaska to see the glaciers at least once in their lifetime!!

Between 6 PM and 8 PM, our cruise ship slowly navigated into Alaska's College Fjord. The overcast sky actually lent a sense of tranquil mystery to the entire glacial landscape. Staying in a Deck 9 balcony cabin meant we didn't have to fight the crowds on the main deck; instead, we could just sit on our own balcony and take in the magnificent views unfolding right in front of us. Glaciers, snow-capped peaks, and floating sea ice stretched out as far as the eye could see. As the ship inched closer to the massive ice walls, the sheer scale of it all was absolutely breathtaking. The grayish-blue sky blended seamlessly with the glaciers—even without the sunshine, it was as stunning as a movie scene. The best part was enjoying the warmth of our room while being able to step out onto the balcony at a moment's notice to quietly soak in the magic of the Alaskan fjords. A cloudy day in College Fjord might lack a lively vibe, but it makes up for it with a chillingly romantic atmosphere unique to this glacial wonderland. It easily became one of the most unforgettable evenings of our Alaskan cruise.

#postandearn #attractive Wrangell–St. Elias National Park & Preserve is the largest national park in the United States, covering over 13 million acres of rugged mountains, glaciers, and wilderness. Located in southeast Alaska, this park offers an unmatched experience for adventurers and nature lovers seeking isolation and grandeur. During my visit, I was awed by the sheer scale of the massive mountain ranges, including the Wrangell, St. Elias, and Chugach ranges. Hiking trails led to stunning vistas where glaciers stretched as far as the eye could see, and the silence of the wilderness was broken only by the rumble of ice calving from a glacier. Wildlife sightings included bears, Dall sheep, moose, and eagles, making every step feel like an encounter with untamed Alaska. ✨ What I loved most: Standing at the edge of a glacier, feeling the icy breeze, and realizing the enormity and pristine beauty of this untouched landscape—it was humbling and exhilarating. Practical tips: Best time to visit: June to September for milder weather and accessible trails. Access is limited—some areas require small plane flights or guided tours. Dress in layers and bring waterproof gear for glacier exploration. Pack plenty of food, water, and supplies as amenities are sparse. For hikers, photographers, and adventurers seeking Alaska in its purest form, Wrangell–St. Elias National Park is a once-in-a-lifetime destination. #CreateWithTrip #WrangellStElias #AlaskaAdventure #UntamedNature

Below is an introduction to Alaska's blue glaciers: Formation · Principles of Physical Optics: Over vast periods, glacial ice becomes highly compressed, reducing internal air bubbles and making it extremely dense. When light penetrates the ice, most wavelengths are absorbed, while shorter blue wavelengths are less readily absorbed and penetrate deeper, scattering and reflecting more, giving the glacier its blue hue. · Oxygen Enrichment: During glacier formation, accumulating snow compresses, gradually releasing gases like nitrogen. However, under immense pressure, oxygen bonds with ice crystals, forming structures similar to impurities in gemstones, also contributing to the blue color of glacial ice. Main Distribution Blue glaciers are scattered throughout Alaska's fjords and valleys. Glacier Bay National Park, Mendenhall Glacier, College Fjord, and Tracy Arm Fjord are all excellent locations for viewing blue glaciers. Famous Glaciers · Hubbard Glacier: North America's largest tidewater glacier, spanning 76 miles and reaching depths of 1,200 feet. Its highest point is equivalent to a 40-story building. It surges rapidly into the Gulf of Alaska, forming Yakutat Bay, an area rich in wildlife. · Spencer Glacier: Located deep in the Alaskan mountains. From Anchorage, travel to Whittier, then transfer to a train to reach the Spencer Glacier Whistle Stop. From there, a trail leads to Spencer Glacier. Viewing Methods · Cruise Tours: Cruises offer access deep into the fjords, providing close-up views of the magnificent blue glaciers, as well as witnessing dramatic events like calving and floating icebergs. · Helicopter Tours: Helicopter tours provide aerial perspectives of the blue glaciers, offering panoramic views of the entire glacier and its breathtaking intersection with mountains and ocean. · Hiking Expeditions: With professional guides, hike closer to the blue glaciers, experiencing their cold majesty firsthand. You can even touch the ice and observe its textures and structures.
