This time I stayed in Yangshuo for a week, playing in the water every morning, hiding in caves in the afternoon, and strolling West Street eating beer fish at night—it was incredibly comfortable. Actually, in summer, as long as you avoid the midday sun, Yangshuo is quite cool, especially by the Yulong River, where the breeze is refreshing. Li River Night Cruise The Li River at night is ten times more comfortable than during the day. Take a boat from Yangshuo Pier; the mountains become black silhouettes, lights outline their shapes, and the river breeze is cooler than air conditioning.
