For four days, we spent our time driving along Lake Como, surrounded by stunning Alpine mountain views. The sunlight reflecting off the water's surface in the mornings and evenings created a particularly beautiful and enchanting scene. Along the way, we passed through many small villages, stopping to admire the scenery, strolling along the lake, and experiencing the simple way of life of the people in each town. The pastel-colored houses lining the lakeside added to the lake's charm. Each town had its own unique character and atmosphere, making the journey interesting every step of the way. For us, Lake Como was another route that offered fun and excitement throughout. Every curve and every village we drove through offered different scenery, making the drive around the lake anything but boring. Caution: The road around the lake is quite narrow, in some sections very narrow, with numerous continuous curves, including some steep and sharp turns. Drivers should exercise extra caution, especially during holidays or peak season when traffic is heavy. Also, parking in each town is limited and usually costs money.

We arrived in Milan on July 18 with an EF agent waiting for us and were transferred to our hotel in Lecco, where we met our tour guide, Stephania. Meeting the group for the first time at 6:30 PM was perfect. Traveling through Italy by bus, visiting Lake Como, Venice, Florence, Assisi, Sorrento, and Rome, was an excellent way to experience the country for the first time. Though there were some rough moments due to my age, my wife and I managed well as we keep ourselves physically fit. Our tour guide was truly amazing, and I strongly recommend her. Enzo, our bus driver, was excellent, very courteous, and ensured a safe journey. The trip was well-organized, and I wouldn’t change the schedule. The hotels were superb and conveniently located. We especially appreciated the laundromat next to our Florence hotel. With a heat wave comparable to our Florida climate, the pools were a welcome feature. Stephania and the other guides were extremely knowledgeable. My wife and I loved walking through all the cities we visited, with Rome standing out as a particular highlight. It was an outstanding trip, and I absolutely recommend it.

Excellent hotel! I really liked the location. The room was clean and fresh, with everything you need. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, and you could sit outside at a table overlooking the bridge.

A short trip to lake Como. We stayed in a Lecco hostel and as such used Lecco as our base, spending a day in Lecco alone - then the next in Como/Nesso. I found Lecco to be a quieter alternative to Como with it being less touristy and just as beautiful, would very much recommend. However of course, Como itself was unreal. Nesso (a small village along the coast of the lake) was just the icing on the cake with its famous bridge you just have to jump off. #travel #como #italy
