Sydney 5-Day Slow Travel|No Rush, Just Sea Breeze
Recently spent 5 days in Sydney during the daytime🌤️, relying entirely on buses and ferries with Visa for transportation💳, stayed next to Hyde Park, with attractions right outside the door—so comfortable I didn’t want to leave🥹

🗓Day 4|Kiama Town Day Trip, reachable by train🚂
This day was dedicated to Kiama (P1, P15-P17)🌊.
Train to bus transfer, passing through three quiet small towns🏘️, with pastures and sea cliffs outside the window like paintings🖼️.
Blowhole, white lighthouse, rolling grassy hills🐑... perfect for those wanting a short “escape from the city”💨.
I wrote another note with clear details on transfers and stops📒, feel free to check it out if interested~

🗓Day 2|Zoo + Ferry + Opera House, classic but never outdated🐧⛴️
Left the hotel at 10 AM🚶♀️, took a bus straight to Taronga Zoo (P6)🦘.
Koalas, kangaroos, penguins, capybaras... all animals were in great condition, the park is not big or tiring😌.
Had lunch while strolling🍴, spent about 3.5 hours, just right⏰.
In the afternoon, took the F2 ferry from the zoo to Circular Quay (P7)🚢, unbeatable sea views! You can see the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and even a docked aircraft carrier⚓️. The ferry ride is less than half an hour, and the sea breeze is so healing🌬️.
After disembarking, you can walk to check in at the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge (P8-P9)🎭🌉, classic photo spots that don’t need much explanation—any shot looks great📸.
Originally planned to visit Mrs Macquarie’s Chair (in the Botanic Gardens, about a 20-minute walk from the Opera House)🚶♀️, but had a dinner appointment with friends and missed it by just half an hour, so sad😭! That angle for photos of the bridge + opera house is really perfect, don’t miss it⚠️.
After dinner, went to Darling Harbour for night views (P10)🌃, lights reflecting on the water, very quiet and romantic🤍. If you prefer the bridge’s night view, you can switch to the Harbour Bridge side🌙.

🗓Day 3|Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk, stunning views that make you forget to move🏖️🥾
Started from Coogee Beach and walked along the coast to Bondi Beach (P11-P14)🌊.
Set off at 10:30 AM🕥, walking, taking photos, enjoying the breeze and sea, arrived at Bondi around 4 PM😍.
It was a bit sunny around noon☀️, so I recommend starting a bit later or bringing more water and sunscreen🧴.
This hiking route is definitely worth much more than just lying on the beach🔥, highly recommended!

🗓Day 1|Leisurely city stroll: parks, university, old shopping mall📸
Dropped off luggage and had lunch at 11 AM🍜, then started wandering~
First went to Hyde Park (P2)🌳, right next to St Mary’s Cathedral⛪️, a small park but great for photos, 1 hour is enough⏱️.
Then took a bus to the University of Sydney (P3-P4)🎓, headed straight to the “Harry Potter building” Quadrangle🧙♂️, it really feels like Hogwarts! The campus is full of vintage buildings🏛️ and lawns, we spent over 2 hours there and didn’t want to leave🥹.
In the evening, visited Queen Victoria Building (QVB) (P5)👑, near Town Hall, the building itself is gorgeous and the area lively, perfect for a slow stroll🛍️.
Tip: Hyde Park and QVB are actually very close, you can walk between them🚶; to get to the University of Sydney, just take a bus🚌.

🗓Day 5|Free day, we chose to chill at Bondi Beach🏄♀️☀️
No plans at all for the last day📅.
Slept in naturally😴, then went surfing and sunbathing at Bondi🌊. Rented a board, and when tired, just lay on the sand—this is the true meaning of travel💯.
If you don’t want to surf, you can also go to Manly Beach🏝️, just a 30-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay⛴️, more local and quieter🤫.

🍽️Two personally tested delicious restaurants
· 🥩 Macelleria Newtown: great steak, high cost performance
· 🥟 Dear Deer Dumpling (near Hyde Park): Chinese restaurant, get a free dish with orders over 50, very authentic (P18)

📌Some sincere tips
· Use the same Visa card for bus rides💳, transfer discounts will be automatically applied✅
· Don’t miss Mrs Macquarie’s Chair like I did⚠️, it’s really just a 20-minute walk away
· Try to avoid the midday heat for the Bondi walk, starting in the afternoon is more comfortable🍃
· Sydney’s pace is slow, don’t pack your itinerary too full, leaving a free day is very enjoyable🎉
