Uganda Bunyonyi Lake Mossy Terrace Canoe Break
#slowtraveling Lake Bunyonyi (Kabale district) is a 1,900-m highland lake with 29 islands. From Kabale, boda-boda to Rutindo (UGX5,000, cash) or taxi (UGX15,000). Canoe hire at Rutindo beach: UGX10,000/hr, paddle or dugout, cash only. I paddled to Bwama Island (former leper colony, free to land, no photos of residents) and ate a matoke lunch on a mossy terrace where the incised hillside farms meet the water.
Mistake: I paddled at 2 pm—afternoon wind on the lake is dangerous. Go 7–10 am or 4–6 pm.
A local teacher rowed me back, refused payment, said “the lake teaches patience, the moss teaches softness.”
No permit, but respect island churches (cover shoulders). Card at the Kabale hotels only.
If a canoe moves slower than a thought, is the lake the journey or the pause?

Hey, chasing King Kong through Bwindi through the forest! Is the rise of the mysterious ball in my heart
If you have seen the American blockbuster "King Kong" and the Oscar-winning film "The Rise of the Planet of the Apes", then you must know that in the face of fierce pursuit, a gorilla is considering His girlfriend went to the Empire State Building to watch the sunrise.
In fact, the protagonist of this movie is a mountain gorilla. Mountain gorillas are a subspecies of oriental gorillas. This is a rare animal that is endangered. Currently, there are only about 700 gorillas in the world, which are only distributed in three African countries: Uganda, Rwanda and Congo.
Bundi in Uganda is known for its hard-to-reach forests. It provides a good living environment and a rich source of food for this moderate giant, allowing this rare animal to thrive here. Take a ride through the unbreakable forest of Bwindi!
600 knives, just to track your tracks in the dense jungle, spend an hour with you, if you want to track other mountain gorilla families, sorry, please spend another 600 knives the next day, good luck, Half an hour on foot, bad luck, you need to walk four hours to find you, but still only one hour and five meters away looking at you.
The idea behind tracking a family is that you should reserve a few more days for you, not enough to see enough. After all, the world can see your three national parks. I have gone this time, it is still too poor, I can only see a King Kong family.
