Holyhead ferry port is located on the Isle of Anglesey in north Wales , ferries from Holyhead sail several times a day to Dublin in Ireland with both Stena Line and Irish Ferries . Getting to the port by Car- The port is ideally situated at the end of the A55 duel carriageway and is well signposted , travel times by car are approximately 1hr 40 mins from Chester , 2hrs from Liverpool, 2hrs 20mins from Manchester and 3hrs 15 mins from Birmingham. By Train-Holyhead Railway Station can be accessed from the terminal building in the port ,see photo. By Bus- There are frequent buses and coaches to Anglesey and Holyhead from England and Wales and National Express offer a service to the Holyhead Ferry terminal . There is a Cafe and Bar , disabled facilities and tourist information as well as free short term parking for 20mins outside the main terminal building as well as long term parking a short distance from the terminal at £8 a day.

📅 Itinerary Day1:we reached around 3:00pm at btews y code station and we went to a llanberis. From llanberis and we started our hike. It took around 6hours to complete it. Day2: At morning we travel to snowfall waterfall on the way to btews y code, it’s was amazing and then we went to btwes y code explore the streets. Day3: we went to Holyhead lighthouse one the recommended place to travel, u need to have car to travel there, with public transportation it’s hard to reach. 🏨 Accommodation we stayed the heights at llanberies it’s not recommended. 🍴 Food Recommendations 📌 Tips

Third time visiting the UK, entering through London and leaving from Dublin. This time we chose to take the ferry from Holyhead to Dublin. ✅ Tips: 1️⃣ After exiting Holyhead train station, follow the signs directly to the ferry terminal. It’s very close and no need to cross the bridge (this is the route to the city). 2️⃣ We took the Stena Line ferry. No need to print the ticket, just use the booking number. 3️⃣ Boarding starts 1 hour 20 minutes before departure. Show your booking code, passport, and get your luggage tag. 4️⃣ After entering, place your luggage directly on the drop-off machine. Luggage is free. 5️⃣ Take the shuttle bus to board the ferry. 6️⃣ The ferry is large and comfortable, with food available for purchase. Try to board early to get a window seat. 7️⃣ When disembarking, the first group to leave is passengers with cars. We didn’t listen carefully and followed the crowd, only to realize it was wrong and had to return to the ferry to wait for the announcement to disembark. 8️⃣ After disembarking, take the shuttle bus to the Dublin port customs area. Have your passport ready for customs. 9️⃣ Google’s directions to the city are not very convenient. The bus shown in photo 11 stops right at the door and goes directly to the city. Tell the driver your stop, and they will let you know where to get off. It costs 3 euros per person, children ride free. 1️⃣0️⃣ The port you arrive at in Dublin is called the ferry port, which is helpful for navigation. ☘️ About South Stack Lighthouse 1️⃣ It’s about 3.2 km from Holyhead train station to South Stack Lighthouse. 2️⃣ Taxi or driving is the recommended way. It takes about 5 minutes. There is parking at the lighthouse entrance. 3️⃣ Walking takes too long and is not recommended if you need to catch the ferry. You can admire it from the sea after boarding. 4️⃣ After boarding, it’s best to go quickly to the left side of the deck or near the viewing windows (facing the bow, the left side). The lighthouse is built on the rugged cliffs of Holy Island. After the ferry leaves the port, you can enjoy the full view of it standing on the cliff from the ship. Dublin is great for shopping and fun. We bought the visitor leap card for 8 euros a day and visited several seaside towns. It was a great time. More to share later! ✔️ Third time visiting the UK. We had a few hours for exploring so headed up to Holyhead for a few hours - we first stopped off at the large Barbados charity shop to see if there were any bargains to be had. Then we continued up to the city centre to see St. Cybi’s Church. St Cybi’s is a gorgeous grade 1 listed church that was built between the 13th and 16th century and it is within the walls of the ancient Roman fort Caer Gybi. The church has an interesting history and is very beautiful. Finally, we headed to skinners monument which is up on the hill overseeing the island. ♿️♿️♿️: if you use the church car park it is right next to St. Cybi’s and costs £1. The pathway to skinners monument can be found directly below the statue, it is quite steep on gravel floor and I did slip a couple of times! There is a handrail but it is broken in places. That trip to Anglesey was truly a dream come true! My partner and I booked a cute Air B&B to soak up the rural beauty of the island. After spending a day there in the peaceful atmosphere, we headed out the next day to explore. First, we went to see the jewel in the crown of Anglesey, the South Stack Lighthouse. The view over the cliffs and the sea breeze that blew from there took away all the tension from our minds and gave us peace of mind. After that, we visited the Marine Museum in the city of Anglesey. There we got to see the big cruise ships and take photos from there for a while. Next, we went to see the RAF Valour. There we got to see fighter jets taking off and landing live, which was a great experience. We ended the trip by seeing the Ponman Lighthouse. I returned to my Airbnb with all its beauty in mind.

I chose Anglesey to celebrate my birthday with my partner. The South Stack Lighthouse there was one of the most beautiful and touching places on my trip. Built by Trinity House in 1809, this historic lighthouse is located on a small island at the northwest tip of Anglesey. To get there, you first have to walk down those 400 steps from Holy Island. The cool breeze from there removed all the tension from my mind and gave me an indescribable calm. How beautifully nature has carved that place! Its colors and sunlight are something that everyone should experience at least once. Ticket prices usually range from seven pounds fifty pence to ten pounds. #summervacay During the recent Bank Holiday, we braved the strong winds to visit Anglesey Island! It's not far from Llandudno, Snowdonia, Conwy, and Caernarfon – just drive to the very end of the A55 road. This time, we primarily explored the two spots shown in picture 2. South Stack Lighthouse: Be careful not to confuse this with Holyhead Lighthouse! This is a famous spot for observing wild birds, and it happened to be breeding season when we visited, so lots of people were there for birdwatching. I've never seen so many seabirds in my life! Many foreigners with binoculars were excitedly saying they saw puffins. I'm not sure if what I saw were puffins, but I definitely started to understand the joy of birdwatching – it's a wonderful experience of freedom, vibrancy, and endless life! 🌬️🐦 Newborough Nature Reserve: Highly, highly recommended! I took the Irish Ferries MV Ulysses ferry from Holyhead to Dublin on a cold but sunny winters day , I’d previously traveled on this route with Stena Line and wanted to check out the competition. The crossing takes around 3hours 15 minutes and there are 4 sailings each day. Holyhead port is located in Anglesey north wales and is conveniently situated at the end of the A55 carriageway, the port has long stay parking as well as a large duty free shop . I’ve done this route many times and even tho the crossing over the Irish Sea can be choppy sometimes, my sailing was calm and I enjoyed some great views, a beautiful sunset, and took some great photos. The MV Ulysses has some great facilities onboard including lots of food and drink options with restaurants cafes and bars ,duty free shopping , lounges , cinemas and plenty of areas to sit and relax. I would also recommend upgrading to Club Class as you can enjoy priority boarding ,10% off selected lines in the shop, an exclusive lounge with complimentary snacks and refreshments, papers and magazines ,PowerPoints for charging tablets and phones all in a quiet area over looking the bow of the ship on deck 11. I went out on deck to see our arrival in Dublin Port and as a foot passenger i disembarked the ship and walked out of the ferry terminal to find a waiting bus to take me into Dublin City Centre for only €3 (the bus leaves from right outside the terminal , and be advised if you want to get to the city centre it’s about an hour walk from the Port of Dublin. The port also has extensive signage to all main roads including the M50 toll road if you’re travelling by car. So to sum everything up , I would definitely recommend this route even if it’s just for a day trip , the ferry has so much to offer and you can get some great fares …..

A nice drive to Holyhead lighthouse, and a hot sunny day is the perfect time to visit this place. Just sit and merge yourself into the calmness of the place.

A beautiful and quiet city, and a picturesque beach

I took the Stena Adventurer ferry to Dublin from Holyhead which takes around 3hours 15 mins and has up to 4 sailings each day with Irish Ferries also operating this route . Holyhead port is located in Anglesey north Wales and is conveniently situated at the end of the A55 carriageway , the port also has a large duty free shop and short and long stay parking . I’ve travelled this route a few times and this crossing even tho a bit choppy was beautiful with blue sky and an amazing sunset . With the Stena Adventurer and Stena Estrid ferries both on this route they have great facilities for such a short crossing , with bars ,restaurants , duty free shopping , arcade and quiet areas to sit and relax . I would also recommend Stena plus a private lounge for passengers for a small extra charge with comfortable seating , complimentary refreshments and snacks , newspapers and magazines and a dedicated waiter service . As a foot passenger I waited to disembark the ferry when we arrived in Dublin and outside the terminal building a bus was waiting to take passengers to the City centre which was very convenient and only €3 as the Stena Line terminal is about 4 miles east of Dublin City centre , the terminal also has short and long term parking as well as a passenger lounge , baby changing facilities free Wi-Fi , disability assistance/ toilets , vending machines and a drop off area . The port also has extensive signage to all main roads including the M50 toll road .
