Neo-Gothic town monastery
Central Spain Tour ~ Madrid (Region)
This Catholic church was built in the late 19th century. The foundation was originally established by Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Francis of Assisi, as a charitable foundation to provide education for underprivileged children. This striking neo-Gothic church features a single nave, a rectangular floor plan, transept vaults, and a polygonal apse. Its main facade consists of a lintel-porch with three windows above, a rose window at the top, and a bell-shaped gable at the top.
