We came this restaurant after we visited Neuschwanstein Castle and Maria Bridge. We ordered pork knuckles and potatoes salad. When they serve the food, it’s really impress us with the swan decoration. The food deco is Instagramable but the food quality was average especially the pork knuckle dish. The beer was good. It is said that it is because it looks like a swan gracefully landing in the Bavarian forest. Ludwig II, a 13-year-old boy who was engrossed in Wagner’s opera Lohengrin, wanted to build the beautiful castle that appears in the opera, and he is said to have been obsessed with building the castle without being interested in politics. After losing the war with Prussia and becoming a king in name only, his obsession with the castle grew even worse, and he poured the rest of his life and all his wealth into it, earning him the nickname of the ‘mad king’. But that’s understandable. If you think about how the construction materials were transported to such a high place, the workers must have died a lot.
