Hempstead House located in Sands Point Preserve in New York State was built around 1912 by the Guggenheim’s and has over 40 rooms. You can usually tour it Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sunday's at 2 pm, but call ahead as sometimes it is booked for private events. #happynewyear #happynewyear

Governor's Island is roughly on the south side of Manhattan Island and can be reached by ferry in summer and autumn. From the Battery Maritime Building in Manhattan, take the ferry to Governors Island and the fare is only 2.
