The lakeside alluvial plain is wide, and the northeastern side is infused with the Victoria Nile, forming a swampy delta. In Uganda, in the valleys and lakes where the Congo and Rwanda meet, there are a lot of small towns, and you have to wonder if you are in East Africa, the legendary African lake, the fairyland is probably the case. . Musa explained that his family has fished these waters for generations, but nylon nets—introduced in the 1980s—require constant repair. “Fish are smaller now, and the lake is rougher,” he said, nodding toward a distant storm cloud. “But if you mend carefully, the net lasts longer.” He taught me to check every knot for fraying and to avoid pulling too tight, which weakens the fibers. As we worked, he pointed out a kingfisher diving for minnows and warned me about the lake’s sudden squalls—common in late March. Our apartment included both a living room and a bedroom, fully equipped with everything we needed — a washing machine, dishwasher, and much more. Its location is unbeatable; it's right in the heart of the city, just 200 meters from the Ferris wheel. Public transportation is conveniently accessible within the same radius. In summary, it was an outstanding vacation experience!

We’ve traveled to many countries and experienced incredible guides and tour planners, but nothing compares to the service and experience we had on our 10-day safari in Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. It’s likely we’ll never encounter anything quite like this again. Our group consisted of three generations—11 people in total—with two grandparents (+70 years old) and five grandchildren (ages 6 and up). White Sand Beach in Entebbe is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the shores of Lake Victoria. The beach is clean, the atmosphere is calm, and the sunset views are absolutely stunning. There are plenty of places to sit, enjoy local food and drinks, and spend quality time with family or friends. The staff were welcoming, and the environment felt safe and well-maintained. We had an incredible 22-day trip across Northern Tanzania with Naona Maasai Tours. As we were already quite familiar with Tanzania due to work, we prepared a draft itinerary for our trip in advance. Our tour driver, Ibrah, was exceptional too; he truly went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. From driving us to the most remote parts of Serengeti to getting up close to a cheetah, he expertly handled everything behind the scenes. Serenity on the Lake in Kalemera is an amazing spot to check out. The entire setting is incredibly quiet and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind after spending long days out on a busy safari. My absolute favorite part of the stay was sitting out by the shore during the late afternoon. The view across Lake Victoria as the sun starts to go down is beautiful, and the water gets perfectly still. It is a fantastic location for catching clean reflections and landscape shots.

Uganda is a rapidly developing country. It's easily accessible from the airport. There are good markets and bazaars. The food is acceptable. Mostly, everything is a B. There's a great lake nearby for swimming.
