I went on four trips with Dinan, and they allowed me to explore the entire island as a solo female traveler. It was an amazing experience, and I was very pleased with his services from start to finish. Dinan quickly understood exactly what I was looking for. Middle Ages | Little Britain By mistake I came all the way from Saint-Malo in the morning, and when I got there, I found it was just an ordinary European town. There were no cobblestone streets. After careful checking, I realized that I had accidentally arrived at the new town of Dinant. That’s what Google Location does. After repositioning ourselves, passing the castle gate and a section of city wall under repair, we saw a large parking lot and a tourist information center in front of us. With a guide map, you won't be nervous. You can follow the map and plan your itinerary in advance. Although the destination may lose some mystery, you won't go wrong in the end. Statue of Bertrand du Guesclin I was using the public toilet next to the parking lot and saw his statue. This location is really not very grand. He was known as the "Eagle of Brittany" and was an outstanding military leader and national hero in the early days of the Hundred Years' War in France. He died of dysentery during a military expedition in 1380 and was buried in the Basilica of Saint-Denis for the Kings of France; his heart is deposited in the church of Saint-Sauveur at Dinant. I was so overjoyed by the atmosphere and sight of the historic centre. Those cobbled streets, half timbered houses, impressive monuments, art galleries, craft shops and so much more. Walking by the rampart offers such fine views and chateau Dinan is gorgeous. During our time here I remember visiting several other impressive landmarks like the basilica of st. saveur and st. Malo church. There is a beautiful rue de petit street lined up with artistic shops. Dinan Cote Darmor Bretagne A very charming white town centered around a white church, surrounded by greenery and rocks, with a beach for rest. Region: Charente-Maritime Route: Train from Montparnasse to La Rochelle, then you can take another train or bus from La Rochelle to Ars-en-Re. Route: From Paris Montparnasse train station to Rennes. Then take another train to Dol de Bretagne and finally a train to Dinan. PS Although it requires changing trains three times, all changes are at the same station, which is quite convenient. The scenery along the way is also good, with a total duration of about three hours.
