Mint jelly green seawater, starry beaches, a ring road around the island, Instagrammable lighthouse, island bookstore, seafood heaven, Cliffside spots also have a bit of the feel of the Greek Santorini caves. It's niche and photogenic, you'll fall in love at first sight. Attraction: Dong'ao Island Resort. Ferry ticket: Standard cabin one-way ticket is 140 yuan per person, stopping at Guishan Island. Ferry: Depart from Xiangzhou Port, the journey takes about 1.5 hours. ! Do not park your car at Xiangzhou Port if you're driving, as it costs 60 yuan per day. I parked inside a residential area for 10 yuan per day. Hiking Guide I basically followed the scenic route, adding the distance to and from the hotel. Hiking distance: About 6.4 kilometers. Hiking duration: 3.5 hours (including time for photos and rest). Besides the pavilion, there's another great spot nearby, but it's all rocks, so be careful. 3 Sunrise Pavilion: Wen Tianxiang's crossing of the Lingding Ocean is carved here. 4 Dadong Bay: The most beautiful section of the road, great for taking photos. 5 Mineral Lake: The lake I saw was emerald green, surrounded by yellow earth hills. 💫 Other Tips 1 To watch the sunrise, you must hike all the way up. If you're lucky and not socially anxious, you might get a staff member to take you up, but the chances are slim. 2 Bicycles are forbidden on the mountain. Even if you ride up secretly, aside from the risk of being discovered, the numerous slopes will make you regret it, and there are surveillance cameras along the way. 3 The sightseeing car starts operating after nine in the morning and only goes as far as Guandi Temple. 4 There seems to be a path down from Shijing Park directly to Dadong Bay. I didn't take it but saw others who did. The terrain is steep, so be cautious.
