The Songzanlin Monastery in Shangri-La || You're really having a blast!

The murals inside are brightly colored and delicately painted, mainly depicting historical anecdotes and promoting Buddhist teachings. The two main temples, Zhacang and Jikang, are built at the highest point and are located in the center of the entire monastery. The grand temple faces south with its back to the north and is a five-story Tibetan-style carved building. Arriving in Shangri-La feels like you're closer to the sky 😅, the altitude here is quite high, about 3300 meters, so be mindful of altitude sickness.
