Longcanggou Snow Scenery

Longcanggou in Ya'an is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and a national forest park located in Longcanggou Township, Yingjing County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province.  Natural Environment - Location: Located in the transition zone from the western mountains of the Sichuan Basin to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, it borders the Wawu Mountain Nature Reserve in Hongya to the east, Hanyuan County to the southwest with the Daxiangling Mountains, and Anjing Township in Yingjing County to the north. - Climate: It has a subtropical humid monsoon climate, with distinct seasons, mild climate, and abundant rainfall. The annual average temperature is 12.4°C, the snowfall period is in December, the snow accumulation period is from December to March of the following year, and the annual precipitation is 2,300 mm. - Topography: It belongs to the Emei Middle Mountain Area in the geomorphological division, with high terrain in the south and low in the north, with a maximum altitude of 2,949.6 meters, a minimum altitude of 1,460 meters, and a relative height difference of 1,489.6 meters in the park. - Hydrology: It mainly has three major water systems: Renshengou, Longcanggou, and Macao River, with continuous mountain streams and small rivers. - Forest Resources: The forest coverage rate is over 95%, and the vegetation changes with altitude, showing various types such as evergreen broad-leaved forest, evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest, coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest, and subalpine coniferous forest, with national first and second-level key protected plants such as Davidia involucrata and Taxus chinensis. - Animal Species: There are 262 species of vertebrates in 5 classes, 23 orders, and 72 families, including national first and second-level key protected animals such as giant pandas, forest musk deer, and takins. Main Attractions - Diecui Stream Scenic Area: At an altitude of 1,700 meters, it has streams, waterfalls, and primeval forests, such as Fairy Waterfall and Yuhua Waterfall, and you can also row a boat on Emerald Lake. - Natural Bridge Scenic Area: At an altitude of 2,100 meters, it has thousand-year-old waterfalls, primeval forests, and large ice waterfalls, with spectacular winter scenery. You can take a sightseeing car up the mountain and visit the Davidia Involucrata House.
