A decade-long dream of Yangzhou - leisurely and lazy spring days by the Slender West Lake

Emperor Qianlong visited the south of the Yangtze River six times, and five of those were to seek the pleasures of Yangzhou, where the beauty of Slender West Lake in the misty and flowery March is unmatched. Amidst the misty rain, the chaotic blossoms gradually captivate the eyes, and the black-awning boats floating on the Slender West Lake, with the sound of oars accompanied by the boatwoman's Yangzhou tune, ripple through the red, the lush, and the slender. The willow branches on the shore are long and tender green, swaying gracefully, and the reflections of cherry blossoms, green peaches, begonias, magnolias, and bauhinias on both sides of the river, set off and surround the Five Pavilion Bridge, the White Pagoda, and the Fishing Terrace, creating a blurred and dreamy painting. The sun, still warm yet cold, shines on the lake, the mountains, the spring flowers, and the soft willows, making the spring scenery endlessly delightful. My travel route: I entered the park from the west gate of Slender West Lake early in the morning, and visited along the way from the Twenty-Four Bridge - Xichun Terrace - White Pagoda - Five Pavilion Bridge - Shuiyun Shenggai - Little Golden Mountain - Xu Garden - Fishing Terrace - Changdi Spring Willow to the south gate, then took a sculling boat from the south gate to tour the Five Pavilion Bridge, White Pagoda, and other attractions from the water. After disembarking at Xichun Terrace, I visited the Bonsai Garden and other places, exiting from the north gate. Ticket price: The adult day ticket is 100 yuan per person, and you can save 50 yuan by purchasing online one day in advance. The sculling boat charter is 1000 yuan, which can accommodate up to 16 people, and individual tickets are also available; there are also painted boats and electric boats. Recommendation: If you have the stamina, it's best to spend a whole day in the garden. Slender West Lake is beautiful everywhere, and it reaches its zenith in the flowery March.
