Autumn in Yangzhou's He Garden, where light and shadow dance in every step and every scene

♣️This is my fourth visit to He Garden in Yangzhou I've experienced all four seasons in He Garden, and this visit has left me completely satisfied. After the rain, the air is clear, and I wander among the dancing light and shadows, where everything I see is like a painting. However, there are always regrets. I haven't seen the magnolia trees in full bloom in early spring or the garden full of red leaves in deep autumn. But I can always come back many times. The owner of the garden is He Zhidao, a third-rank official in the Qing Dynasty. He resigned and returned to Yangzhou in the ninth year of Guangxu's reign. Out of filial piety for his mother, he spent 13 years building He Garden. The garden is divided into four parts: the east and west gardens, the courtyard, and the Pianshi Mountain House. In the middle of the pond, there is a Water Heart Pavilion for the owner to watch plays, cool off, and enjoy the scenery. The old and young masters of the garden live in the Jade Embroidery Building in the south, a building that combines Chinese and Western styles. It has a traditional Chinese brick and wood structure, but also uses French-style louvered doors and windows, fireplaces, and Japanese-style sliding doors. Walking through the corridor, it provides shelter from the rain on rainy days and shade on sunny days.
