Qingjiao Ciji Palace is the largest folk belief site in Xiamen and one of the 20 scenic spots in Xiamen. It is located at the entrance of Qingjiao Village, under the Dongmingling of Qishan in the western part of Haicang District, 12 kilometers from Xiamen Island. Qingjiao Ciji Palace was built in the 21st year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1151), and was named "Qingjiao Longqiu Temple"; in the year of Bingxu in the Qiandao of the Southern Song Dynasty (1166), the temple was named Ciji, and it was called "Qingjiao Ciji Temple"; in the year of Xinchou in the Chunyou of the Southern Song Dynasty (1241) The edict "change the temple to the palace" is called Qingjiao Ciji Palace. The palace worships the Emperor Baosheng, who is a famous doctor in the Northern Song Dynasty, Wu Zhenren, named Wu Ben (also known as Bo) (979-1036), with the word Huaji, and the number Yunchong. Wu Ben was born in Baijiao Village (now Jiaomei, Longhai), and was transformed into Qingjiao. He practiced medicine throughout his life, and his deeds were widely praised. The people regarded him as a "medical spirit". Since the Southern Song Dynasty, he has been granted more than ten times, and he was granted the title of "Emperor Baosheng" in the seventh year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty.
