Wenchang Academy, also known as the Temple of Literature, is located at No. 20, Wendongli, Wencheng Town, not far from Wennan Old Street. It is a key national cultural relic protection unit of the seventh batch, ancient architecture, Qing Dynasty. Wenchang Academy was first built in the Northern Song Dynasty during the Qingli years, and was relocated and rebuilt at its current location in the eighth year of Ming Hongwu (1375).
