About Tokyo Accommodation—Hotel Gracery Shinjuku

Choosing where to stay on my first visit to Tokyo was the biggest concern at the time. After looking at the map and consulting friends in Tokyo, I finally chose the Hotel Gracery Shinjuku in Shinjuku. Geographical advantages: 1. The location is very bustling, and the transportation is very convenient; 2. The hotel offers good value for money, small but well-equipped, with separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom; 3. There are convenience stores, drugstores, and various dining options right downstairs, which is very convenient; 4. You can check in at the Kabukicho landmark - Godzilla Hotel, where you can also buy Godzilla merchandise and have close encounters with Godzilla, but be mindful of the time; 5. Next to the hotel is the newest landmark of Shinjuku, with a very cyberpunk vibe, perfect for a stroll in the evening. Disadvantages: 1. It might be a bit hard to find for the first time, as the hotel reception is on the 8th floor (specific route: after seeing Godzilla, enter the entrance, keep going straight, after seeing the convenience store, go straight and then turn right, the elevator goes directly to the 8th floor); 2. The rooms are slightly smaller compared to those in China. Other: 1. The area is Tokyo's red-light district, but it does not affect tourists at all; 2. When choosing a hotel room, opt for a twin room (two beds), it's too cramped for two people in a double room.
