A bizarre pedestrian bridge was built on the Tbilisi Kura River, designed by Italian architect Michel DeLucchi and French lighting designer Philippe Martinyud. It looks a bit like a sanitary napkin. But seriously, this is a significant bridge. The designers used the glass and iron construction to connect the old and new districts of Tbilisi, installing 30,000 LED lights and 240 sensors, at night, and the flag of Georgia will appear in the ceiling. It is also known as the Peace Bridge.
