Overlooking Restaurant at Davao

If you are a fan of the Cloud 9 overlooking restaurant at Antipolo, or those in Tagaytay, Davao has its own version which is Taklobo Restaurant. The place is situated in the infamous Jack’s Ridge as it’s in house restaurant - which is also within the heart of Davao City (near Matina and Talomo). You will surely have an awesome dining experience with the overlooking view of the city- best to go there for dinner - come earlier to see the day view, sunset and night view. The restaurant specialize in Filipino cuisines and local Davao grill favorites including seafood. Kinilaw, grilled tuna panga (jaw) and pomelo salad is what they are known for. Their beverages include fresh buko (coconut juice), fresh fruit shakes including durian - which is well-known in the Davao region. Beer is also being served. We tried their davao Chorizo, chicken bbq, sinampalukang baka (beef in tamarind soup), garlic rice and buko juice - which are all yummy. We wanted to try their pomelo salad and grilled hito (catfish) but where not available when we visited. Prices are a little bit above average versus other Davao restaurants but is reasonable considering the location and the amazing view the place has to offer. Will surely come back to try some other items in their menu, and be wowed again with the amazing view.
