Shantang Street in Suzhou

This area has preserved its traditional Chinese architecture and ancient stone bridges, with the historic Shantang Canal flowing through it. In the evening, the entire street lights up beautifully with red lanterns hanging from the buildings. It has even been recognized as a historical and cultural site of China. The stone bridge overlooking Shantang Canal is a perfect photo spot! When I visited, there were so many Chinese and international tourists that the police had to limit the number of people crossing the bridge. Shantang Street is a pedestrian street lined with shops, street food stalls, and souvenir stores. If you go, make sure to bring back some gifts!
