Suzhou Da Ruyi Holy Land Guide

☘️ When visiting Suzhou, don't just go to the crowded city center anymore, Suzhou's Xishan Island is definitely a hidden gem for a vacation. Drive onto the island from the Taihu Lake Bridge, and the journey really feels like a mini Kamakura, especially suitable for weekend trips. ☘️ The must-visit spot on Xishan Island is the Da Ruyi Holy Land, located to the south of Taihu Lake and backed by the Miao Miao Peak, with mountain ranges resembling a green dragon and a white tiger on the east and west sides, covering an area of over 700 acres. ☘️ The Da Ruyi Holy Land on Xishan Island is dedicated to the worship of the Goddess of Mercy, Guanyin. Inside the temple, there is a golden statue of Guanyin that stands 66.99 meters tall, equivalent to over 20 stories high, surrounded by continuous mountains. The largest statue of Guanyin can be ascended, all the way to the place where you can 'embrace Buddha's feet'. The parking lot is at the entrance of the scenic area, and parking is free!
